Hi Everyone,
Have you finished making your Valentine's Day cards? If not, here's a bit of hearts and flowers inspiration for you today!
I paired up the Flower Hearts (SUCH a C-U-T-E stamp!) with the sweet new Love and Blessings Valentine's Day Greeting. The image was stamped, colored and die cut, with a bit of glitter glue added to the hearts. It is a valentine after all :)
I made the background using the Candy Heart Background along with and embossed background of the same type, covering up the seam with some gems. (Boy do I have a lot of them in my stash!)
For more Valentine stamps, be sure to pop on over to the DRS Designs store!
Have a happy day,
Karin
Hello friends!
Today I've used this cute fat frog, Friendly Flower Frog, with the new Love and Blessings Valentine. I used Scattered Hearts with Kitsch Flamingo Oxide for the background.
I totally love this new You Have a Special Place in My Heart Greeting. I chose to literally put in/on my heart for this card.
I made the heart by hand cutting it out of an Amazon box, painting it with some gold paint, and then adding some metallic flakes. It was a quick and easy card and helped our recycling efforts as well.I have a couple of cards for you today. Both use the same sentiment and are graduation cards. I am trying to get my graduation cards ready with the season quickly approaching.
Hi Everyone,
Being pressed for time this week, I wasn't able to make any new Valentines, so I thought this was the perfect chance to highlight a couple of my favorite cards from years past.
This card's post can be found here, but here are the links to the stamps:
Recently I started going through my scrap papers looking for ways to clear some out. I started punching out some hearts and thought oh how fun would it be to create a card full of love in blue. Blue is my favorite color so it works for me.
Hello crafty friends!
Today I have a cute and easy Valentine for you! This is about as CAS as I can get....I'm such a clutternut I have a hard time with empty or simi-empty space!
I used 3 stamps today from DRS and 1 Sizzix embossing folder. The Bitsy Bumble Bee, Bee My Valentine and Scattered Hearts.
Hi Everyone,
I had a bunch of red and pink papers floating around my crafting table after making this card here, so I thought I'd continue with the Valentine theme for today's card.
I started out by stamping the Silhouette Branch and then gluing a bunch of punched hearts to make a little valentine shrub. I die cut and added a mat and attached it to a die cut banner.
Trying to decide on a sentiment, I really liked the little hearts that are part of the Love Bug Hug Greeting, but the words didn't match the shrub. I fixed it by stamping and fussy cutting the Love Bug
After assembling the card, I added two pink gems to finish it off.
Stamping hugs from me to you!

Read more...I needed a quick anniversary card and the FLOWERING BIRD BRANCH - 616L is just perfect for showing love with those cute little birds.
Hi Everyone,
I'm still working on making March birthday cards for friends and family, so here is my next offering. It's super simple and flat, which means it's easy to mail. I just needed my circle dies, markers, glitter glue and a couple of stamps.
Did you know DRS Designs has a birthday stamp for every month? You can see them all here, and you can grab the Flower Hearts stamp while you're there too!
Keeping my fingers crossed the spring weather arrives soon!
Thanks for stopping by!
Karin
Good morning!
Here is a fun card to do. I glued the pink and yellow layers together then ran them through my Big Shot with an embossing folder featuring the word candy hearts just like the stamp
Candy Heart Background I used on the background of the largest heart die cut. I sponged the outer edge with yellow then mounted it to the matching scalloped heart die cut from red.
I stamped the Bee My Valentine on white then stamped the
Small Hanging Hearts under the words. I die cut the sentiment with hearts with the smaller heart die, sponged the edges yellow then mounted it on the scalloped red die cut heart to match.
Next, I stamped Happy Bee on white and fussy cut him then glued him to the sentiment heart.
One last Valentine's Day card!
I could't resist playing with Cupig. He is one of my favorite DRS stamps. I paired him up with the new Heartbeat and With Every Beat of My Heart. Once I had Cupig stamped, colored and cut, the rest of the card was some quick sponging and stenciling (snow stencil on the base and Stamperia pipes stencil on the little panel - not sure why - lol).
I love when Lisa goes all out on the pink so I did today too.Happy Saturday!
Today, I have a Valentine's Day card that was inspired by my friend Ardyth who was the Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers last week. I was inspired by multiple cards and techniques that she uses. If you want to check out her fun style click HERE. She loves to play with stencils so I used the double stencil technique where you double up your stencils before applying your ink with a brush. After I was done, I highlighted some of the cool patterns with gold Stickles for added interest. This made a fun background for this new DRS Designs' Cheap Chocoate Eve Greeting.
Good morning!
Hi Everyone,
I hope your holidays last year were great and that you're ready for the next great card making holiday, which is Valentine's Day!
DRS Designs has some fun new stamps, and a couple of my favorites are on the card below. Heartbeat and Every Beat of My Heart Greeting are a total match, so I took inspiration from one of the cards I made last year, here.
I decided to make my die cut hearts into "people", by drawing hands and feet, and used the bow image from the 4 in 1 Fashion Accessories stamp for the girl and boy. To finish the card, I added a little fussy cut conversation heart that had the xoxo on it from the new Candy Heart Background.
This card is all about the love of my life...Chocolate! I mean, my husband first, but then definitely chocolate.
I decided to make the stamped Chocolate Chips white chocolate, so that they would stand out on the red heart and embossed them to make them shine. I paired the heart up with the new Love You More Chocolate Greeting
