Cheers!

>> Thursday, February 22, 2024

 Hello friends!

I started out stamping the background with Bowling Strike using soft gray.  I then used a scrap of colorful background paper I made using alcohol inks on glossy cardstock, glued the strip to the left side of my card front.

Next, I stamped the Ball On Your Birthday Greeting at the top using Versafine Claire.
I cut the cheers out of black foam and glued it to the bottom then I stamped the Large Beer Mug on a separate piece of white cardstock, fussy cut it and colored it with alcohol ink pens.
I used white Liquid Applique and sprinkled glitter for the foam on the beer then heat it to make it puff.

The beer mug was popped up to match the height of the Cheers.

Hope you like this birthday card.  I think it is especially great for young men or men of any age who love to share a pint with friends.

Thanks for visiting today!

St. Patrick's

>> Thursday, February 16, 2023

 Hello crafty friends!

Next holiday?  Of course, St. Patrick's Day!!

What's more St. Patrick's than shamrocks and beer? Today I've used DRS Designs: Top Hat St. Patrick's, Small Shamrock Group, Shamrock Circle,  and Large Beer Mug.

I stamped the beer mug first and then masked and stamped the Shamrock Circle. Next, I stamped the sentiment then die cut with a stitched oval.

The beer foam is done with Liquid Applique and a heat gun. I cut a mat from glitter paper using another larger oval.
The background layer was stamped using green with the Shamrock Group.

Thanks for visiting today!

Save the Earth...

>> Monday, January 2, 2023

I used the new WORLD GLOBE - 056F image stamping it on white card stock with black ink. I then masked the globes and sponged blue around them so the image stands out.

I trimmed the panel with blue card stock and added the SAVE THE EARTH WITH BEER - 775E using just the Save the Earth portion of the sentiment.

The card was finished with some gold gems.

For my second card today, I decided to use the exact same images

I used the exact same stamps and instead of stamping the new WORLD GLOBE - 056F image, I white heat embossed it then masked them and sponged the blue.

I trimmed the panel with the same blue and stamped the same sentiment.

Rather than gold gems, I used gold pearls for a softer look to the card.

Do you have a favorite of the two? Do you prefer a bold look or a softer look? I would love to know. Feel free to leave a comment with your favorite of the two cards.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my cards this week.

Basting and Brewing!

>> Wednesday, October 13, 2021

Hello crafty friends.

I am still on an ATC kick so I made two with two of the newest DRS Designs Greetings:  Get Basted Greeting and 'Brew'tiful Day Greeting.  I also added in the new Tipsy Turkey and the Large Beer Mug

Then, I added them to a card.  For the base layer, I sponged around a torn net stencil  (the same one I used on the ATC - you can see the stencil under the card).
Here is the inside (same stencil used).

Hope  these ATCs inspire you to make some too.  Hope your week is going well!

Hugz,

Nancy

Beer Mug Birthday Celebration

>> Wednesday, June 9, 2021

Hello Crafty Friends,

My youngest darling daughter turned 26 this weekend, and she wanted me to go with her for burgers and an Eagles Cover Band concert in Birmingham, Alabama.  It was an unusal request and one I was a bit scared about, but I had a blast!  This is the birthday card I made her.

I added in Snowtex to get the foam texture on the Large Beer Mugs. I watercolored the beer and fussy cut the mugs.  Next, I added in Leonard from Leonard Pig's Dance of Joy and the Go Hog Wild greeting.  A cute little wooden heart finished it off.

Here we are the concert.  We didn't go hog wild, but after lockdown for over a year, getting out to a concert seemed like we were going hog wild.  It was an outdoor concert at the Avondale Brewery Ampitheater so the beer mugs on my card were perfect.
Hope you are having a good week!

Hugz,

Nancy

Irish Eyes

>> Thursday, March 1, 2018

Good morning!

Here are a couple of St. Patrick's Day cards that are all about fun!
This first one is a shaker card.  I cut away the pot and then placed acetate behind it and used a couple layers of Fun Foam to pop it up so that I could fill the "pot" with gold micro beads, sequins, crystals and Prills.
The Frame die is from Lawn Fawn.  I used a few jeweled enamel dots for centers of my shamrocks and sponged Lime green Brilliance to the card edges as well as Sky Blue Brilliance to the sky.
The DRS stamps I used for this are: Sean & The Rainbow 521L and Rainbow Gold Greeting 685F

This next card is a circle easel card.  I used several circle sizes for this from the LifeStyle set of circle dies. The DRS stamps I used are: Smiling Irish Eyes 217F, Shamrock Circle 619L and Large Beer Mug 557H
I used Liquid Applique and glitter for my beer foam puffed up with a heat gun.
I made the stop from 4 die cut clover scored in the middle of each then glued half to one and on around until the forth one met the first one and glued it together making a 3D clover to hold my top open.

Thanks for visiting today!!

Welcome once again to another walk down memory lane!  The last (but NEVER least) designer is Jennifer.  It's getting close to 6 years since Jennifer started designing for us and I can't begin to tell you how difficult it was to narrow down the hundreds of cards she's created for us to just the few I have here today.  I could go on and on about her stamping genius and how she puts them all together...but I'd rather show you!

Here goes...
