Easter Trio

>> Sunday, March 24, 2024

Hello Crafty Friends,

Easter is a week away and I have some last-minute card ideas for you today.

My first card is a fun one that was inspired by THIS cute card done by Cristena who is the Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers.com this week.

I water-colored the sky and background grass and stamped the Brush Pussy Willow and painted them as well. Then I stamped Vicki's Versatile Background on some white paper and then cut the paper into fence posts.  I used a little leftover water-colors to add more interest and then sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.  For the critters, I stamped the Tails Up Bunny and Easter Ears Leonard the Pig, fussy cut them, and water-colored them as well.  I removed the egg from Leonard's arms and ticked him in the fence.  My banner was a bit boring so I got the Stickles out and fixed that.  The glitter was speaking to me and I used it in a few more places as well - lol. I finished it off with a part of the 1 Line Easter Blessing Greeting

My next card features the Flower Cross Image and the Sending You Sunshine Greeting

I sketched and painted the tulips and wreath, stamped the cross and painted it, and then added in gold dots with some gold paint.  I was aiming for shabby chic so I distressed the panel with white acrylic paint and some Distress Ink.

My last card was easier than it looks and features the Small Rejoice Greeting
I water-colored the flowers on the egg and added in Stickles to make it more festive.  I followed THIS video to learn how to do this.

Hoping you are having a wonderful week.

Hugz,

Nancy

Happy Waves

>> Tuesday, March 19, 2024

 Hi Everyone,

I made another card using the fun new Happiness Comes in Waves Greeting, and the whole concept is making me wish I was at the ocean.

I began by making an underwater scene using some fish stamps and a die.  I colored it up using markers and some chalk shading.  I attached it to a background made using the Sand, Snow, Water Lines stamp and wrapped it in some netting.

3 In 1 Ocean

I'm hosting Easter for a group for the first time since, what I call, the "Before Times" and I needed some invites.  Hence the simple design since I was making multiples.  Just a bunny die and some great sentiments were all I needed. Only 5 more to go!

Here are the stamps I used for both:

Happy Spring!

Happy Easter

>> Tuesday, March 12, 2024

Hi Everyone,

Easter is just a little more than a couple weeks away, and I needed to hop to it when it came to working on some cards.

This was going to be a square card, but it seemed to need something else, so I ended up attaching it to a base with a punched border and some spring like polka dot ribbon.

I masked off a corner of my image panel and stamped the background in multiple green in using the Easy Grass Background stamp.  After stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the Big Bunny Face, I cut a slit in the grass and inserted him, leaving only his ears peeking out.

All that was left to do was added the Happy Easter Everybunny into the blank spot.

Happy Easter all you stamping bunnies!
Karin

Hello everyone!

Today I've mae my first Eater card of the year.  Can you believe it's only a month away?
For this card I used a stencil to create the background using Distress Oxide ink in Eastery colors.  The stencil is actually pebbles but it looks like little candy eggs to me.

The sentiment has been divided onto 2 arrow tags.  I used alcohol ink pens to color.

Thanks for visiting today!

Spring

>> Tuesday, February 27, 2024

Hi Everyone,

I have spring on my mind!  It's no wonder since we've had more rain than snow and a few days of temperatures in the 50's where I live!

While this card doesn't have the colors of spring, it does have Pussy Willows which sure are a harbinger of that time of year.   I added some strips of glitter and the sentiment, Special Place In My Heart.

I also made a card celebrating St. Patrick's Day for a special someone, using some stamps that I normally reserve for Valentine's Day.

The background was made using the Small Shamrock Group in two different green inks.  I stamped the Silhouette Love Heart eight times, four in the shape of a shamrock, and four more times which I fussy cut and attached just along the folded center.  I drew a stem and added an enamel dot to the center.

I used the Lucky in Love greeting for my sentiment, adding some more enamel dots for embellishment.  And I can't leave out the polka dot ribbon and embossed orange strip!

Thanks for the visit today!

 Easter Greetings friends!

Isn't this first one fun with the bright colors?

Got this idea dressing up bunnies from my friend and team-mate Nancy!

I'm using Tim Holtz bunny dies as a main feature and accenting with a variety of DRS stamps: Happy Easter Everybunny, Jelly Bean Jumble Background and 4 in 1 Fashion Accents

I also used some oval and stitched rectangle dies.

My second card also uses the Tim Holtz bunny dies from Sizzix.

Easter Ears and Greetings

>> Wednesday, March 1, 2023

Hello Crafty Friends!

In this fun card, I combined the Dogwood Branch and Deco Easter Greetings images with some water color practice from Emma Jane Lefevbre (the bunny ears).  It came out super cute and was very easy.

Hope your week is going well.  Stay warm and safe.

Hugz,

Nancy

Everybunny

 Hi Everyone,

I fully intended to make another St. Patrick's Day card this past weekend, but I came across Leonard the pig wearing his cute bunny ears, so I made an Easter card instead.

I stamped and colored up a bunch of Easter Eggs with bows and attached the panel to a piece of yellow paper that I tore along the one side.  I feel like that torn paper was a big card technique a few years ago, so why not bring it back :)

The card background was dry embossed with eggs as well, and I added the Happy Easter Everybunny Greeting on a strip.  Leonard was colored and fussy cut and added with some dimensional foam tape.

Looking at my finished card, it's hard to not want to add an embellishment of some sort.  Glitter, gems, or....?  Well, I managed to stop myself and call it done for a change.  I need to let the cute stamps speak for themselves!

Happy stamping Friends!

Karin

Easter Coins

>> Wednesday, February 15, 2023

Hello Crafty Friends.

I have been making some ATCs of the coin variety for a coin swap, and I wanted to share with you how fun the Easter ones came out.  I used parts of the Faith Reborn Easter Saying because it fit the best with these cute die cut bunnies.  The background is an ink/spray smash panel with a bit of gold paint mixed in.

Cute and easy.  Hippity Hoppity, Easter is on its way.

Happy Easter Everybunny!

>> Monday, April 11, 2022

Easter is fast approaching, and a fun bunny card is perfect to send to anyone. For my card today I first stamped EASTER EARS LEONARD PIG - 858G then masked the image. Next, I stamped VINCENT VAN BUNNY - 396L and CUTE BUNNY WITH EGG - 702D.

Once the scene was stamped, I used the HAPPY EASTER EVERYBUNNY - 048D sentiment. To get the sentiment all in a line, I stamped the Happy Easter portion first then used a piece of acetate and lined up the Everybunny where it needed to be on the card front. Once I had it lined up correctly, I removed the acetate and stamped just the "Everybunny!" portion of the sentiment.

I then colored up the scene with copics and layered on the teal.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week. I hope Everybunny has a wonderful week.

Beauty of Springtime

>> Thursday, April 7, 2022

 Good morning friends!

Today I have 2 more cute Easter cards to share with you.  This first one features my favorite bunny buns (Tails Up Bunny).  For the border strip I used Jelly Bean Jumble Background Splatter Background and Happy Easter Everybunny

I used a few dies too, background plaid die by Tim Holtz, card frame from Lawn Fawn
and the Square die from Penny Black.  The grass border is a border punch
from Martha Stewart.
I popped up the card frame with foam strips.  The Jelly Beans were colored then masked to stamp the splatter over them, I used pink ink then blue ink.

For my second card:
I used the Chick In Nest cut out with a cross stitch circle from Rubbernecker.
I also used Springtime Easter cut out with the rectangle cross stitch die from Lawn Fawn.
My background die again is from Sizzix-Tim Holtz collection.

This card needed something else to finish it so I chose died seam binding in the yellow/gold
color from a Ranger Ink refill.  The front of the card it wrapped with a tie where the bow would go then I made a multi-loop bow on my (dowl type) bow maker and hot glued it over the tie.
The sentiment and image panels are popped up with foam (like fun foam in a sheet and die cut).

I hope you like these and Happy Easter early!

Easter Blessings

>> Tuesday, April 5, 2022

 Hi Everyone,

My offerings today are super simple and quick to make.  With Easter coming up, here's a card made using an embossing folder and the Lily Cross Easter Blessings stamp.  I added some chalk to the rays, but if you don't have this (Darice) embossing folder, I think something similar could be made using a ruler and a yellow marker.

And here I'm using the Simple Easter Bunny for my Easter dinner place cards. Only 6 more to go!

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on its way!

Happy Easter Peeps

>> Thursday, March 31, 2022

 Good morning friends!

I've made 2 Easter easel cards today.  This first one features

Easter Ears Leonard Pig.  I used him with a really cute Tulip embossing folder on the front.  I actually embossed it twice, once white and once pink then cut out the ribbon only from white and glued it to the pink for more interest.

Leonard is cut out with a stitched oval from Rubbernecker, popped up and glued to the embossed panel in the non embossed space between tulips.

For the inside I used the same oval die set and popped up the sentiment Easter Greetings
I added 4 mat enamel dots to the corners that show when the card is open and on display.

My next card features the Simple Easter Bunny.
I also used the Jelly Bean Jumble Background for the front and inside.
The little Nuvo Drops all around the circles reminds me of candy we had as a kids, Candy Dots on a strip of paper...you ate them right off the paper, yes weird!

The sentiment inside is Favorite Easter Peeps and die cut.  I stayed with the candy dot
designs and matted with yellow then purple/lavender.

I hope you are inspired today.  Go get crafty!

Hoppy Easter

>> Thursday, March 24, 2022

 Good morning friends!

This first card uses the Jelly Bean Jumble Background in the strip element.
My light wasn't very good this day so it might be hard to tell the main colors are purple and yellow
but it's a fun card anyway I think.  I've added pink, green and orange to the mix as well, all the lovely spring colors.
I also used Happy Easter Everybunny and Sneaky Bunny Flowerpot for this card.
I love the cheery Easter colors on this card the most, makes me happy!

My next card also uses basically the same colors but what a difference the overall look is
when the main colors are blue and white.
For the Jelly Bean Jumble Background I colored all the Jelly Beans in fun Easter colors
then used a reverse mask to stamp the Splatted Background on the Jelly Beans only with pink and blue mostly, some green then after stamping all the jelly beans I decided to do and overall stamping of the Splatter with yellow.  You might think I wasted a step but it really would not have looked the same if I hadn't stamped the jelly beans separately with other colors.
For this card I used the Bunny Face die cut with a square wonky die from Rubbernecker and scallops out of blue from Spellbinders.  The Happy Easter is the same as the one I used for the first card but I just used the top line.  I also used Somebunny Loves You.
Before I glued the background panel to blue I wrapped it with blue ribbon then made a multi-loop bow from sheer blue polka dot ribbon.
The image panel and sentiments are popped up.

I hope these cards give you some inspiration to make some cute Easter cards for your kids or grandkids, maybe even some neighbor kids or children at church.
Have fun and create!
Thanks for visiting today!!

Happy Easter

I am working ahead on some Easter cards and I thought this CHICK IN NEST - 645F would be perfect for a cute Easter card.

  • For the card panel I tried emboss folder stamping for the first time. I used some yellow distress ink on a chicken wire folder and then stamped on the white card stock.
  • Next, I stamped the CHICK IN NEST - 645F and colored with copics.
  • I then stamped a portion of the FAVORITE EASTER PEEP GREETING - 352F sentiment.
  • I die cut the openings for the image and sentiment and added dimensionals to the chicken wire layer.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week. I hope you have a wonderful crafty week.

Christ is Risen!

>> Thursday, March 17, 2022

 Good morning friends!

Today I have some Easter cards using embossing folders and our DRS stamps.  This first one uses Cross with Flowers.  I paired it with an embossing folder from Crafters Companion which embosses and die cuts at the same time.

I used a few pearls for the butterfly bodies.
Butterflies have always stood for new life to me (and I think with a lot of people), so it seems appropriate to pair this embossing folder with the cross that reminds us of a Savior who gives us new life in Him.

My next card also uses a Crafter's Companion embossing folder/die.

For this card I just used a sentiment Medium Script Happy Easter
I accented with pearls again.  For the background of the stamped panel I just did some sponging starting from the edges and working my way in.

Bunny Buns!

>> Thursday, March 10, 2022

Good morning friends!
I love this cute little bunny!
Bunny buns has left little eggs to find everywhere,
how fun!

I also used some Elizabeth Craft Designs dies and some Amazing Paper Grace dies.

My second card is just in time for St. Patrick's Day.
Green card and a cute redheaded Irishman!
Today I used When Irish Eyes Are Smiling and
The dies are from Stampendous.

This guy with his derby has to be Irish right?
Well, that is what I think every time I see him.

These cards were so fun to make I hope you'll do some too!
Thanks for visiting today!
