Hello Winter
>> Tuesday, December 26, 2023
Hi Everyone,
Today's super simple card is for when you're flat out of time and need to make something quick. Which is me. All the time during the holidays!
I stamped some of the Simple Pine Trees for the background and added a couple of die cut deer. I made the new Hello Winter Greeting into a banner and attached it to the top, along with a few tiny snowflakes.
Merry Christmas

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week. I used the wonderful SMALL NATIVITY SCENE - 696D as it is perfect for today. I stamped it and colored it with copics. I then die cut a gold frame and heat embossed the CHRISTMAS STAR MERRY CHRISTMAS - 933F with gold emboss powder. The star was finished with a single gem.
From the entire DRS Designs team, we would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.

Hello friends!
I love the little snow globe look so today I've used Snow Globe then cut out the globe part so that I could create a shaker.
I used a die set from Sizzix showing a little village scene then added shaker elements.
Of course I used acetate in the opening. The whole globe needed a frame to bring it all together with a brown that sort of matches the globe base and some of the houses.

For my card today:
- I used a small poinsettia die cut and cut a cluster from red, green and gold mirror paper. I then die cut a white panel to layer the poinsettia and finished with a pearl.
- I then stamped the SMALL SCRIPT MERRY CHRISTMAS - 272E and then layered the poinsettia cluster just above it on a dimensional.

Christmas Barns

Hello Crafty Friends!
This past weekend, we went to Nashville and drove by hundreds of barns and old farm houses. That inspired me to make some Christmas cards with barn doors and the new Berries and Bow Christmas Decoration image stamp along with the Small Script Merry Christmas greeting.
I stamped the image and greeting on both cards and then sketched out and water-colored the door. The colors on this first card were inspired by THIS cool card by Dawn at Splitcoaststampers.com.
This colors on this one were inspired by the colors on our small barn.Hope your Christmas decorating, and cards are going well. I need to get to the post office and mail my last batch this week.

Leaping Deer
>> Monday, December 11, 2023
Hello crafty friends. I finally had a chance to use this great new Leaping Deer - 276H image. Oh, how I love this great deer image. I actually have two cards to share this week with this wonderful image.
For my first card today:
- I stamped the Leaping Deer - 276H image in brown on the card base and colored it with copics.
- Nest, I heat embossed with clear glitter the INTERLOCKING SNOW BACKGROUND - 015H on the navy blue strip.
- The card was finished with the Small Script Merry Christmas 272E in navy blue and a few scattered blue sequins.
- I stamped the Leaping Deer - 276H and the THINKING OF YOU AT CHRISTMAS GREETING - 183D and heat embossed them with gold glitter embossing powder.
- Next, I cut several strips of mirror gold to create more interest to the card.
- I then punched several snowflakes and layered them giving them dimension and finished them with stickles.

Quick Watercolor Christmas/Winter Cards
>> Wednesday, December 6, 2023
Hello Crafty Friends.
I have been playing around with some simple water colors and these three very fun new stamps from DRS Designs: Small Script Merry Christmas, Hello Winter, and Simple Pine Trees. The Design Team has been rocking cards using them and for some reason they keep calling to me.
On this one, I just stamped the images and did some quick water color washes, some shadows, and a bit of green and decorations in the trees. I finished it off with a bit of SnowTex.
Happy Holidays

Hi Everyone,
I've used the new Leaping Reindeer stamp on my card share for today. It's such a lovely image that evokes the traditional feelings of the Santa/Rudolph story of Christmas for me. Of course, it just occurred to me now that I should have given him a red nose! See? Now I have an idea for the next card!
I ended up getting a smudge on my paper when coloring my deer, so I simply fussy cut him and attached him to a die cut and embossed square. I also embossed the background with snowflakes and added a die cut tree, embellishing it with some gems. Woo-boy do I have a lot of gems in my stash. I must have shopped a massive sale at some point in my life...lol.
After attaching the image panel, I added the Small Happy Holidays Greeting using my punches, along with a punched snowflake to finish it off.
Thanks for visiting today!
Karin

This new Simple Pine Trees 285E is just perfect for adding some quick trees to your cards. I have two cards to share today.
For my first card:
- I started the card with sponging teal on a white card stock.
- Next, I stamped the Simple Pine Trees 285E several times across the panel with versamark ink then white heat embossed the trees.
- I then used some scissors and fussy cut some snow hills and popped the top one up on dimensionals.
- The top hill is stamped with the new Small Script Merry Christmas 272E in teal to match the sponged teal.
- I finished the hills with stickles and added some white gel pen to the sky and additional stickles to the white gel pen.
- I stamped silver designer paper with versamark ink using the INTERLOCKING SNOW BACKGROUND - 015H and then heat embossed silver embossing powder.
- I then cut apart the snow panels and layered on a die cut white panel popping the panel up on dimensionals.
- Next, I stamped the Simple Pine Trees 285E with versamark ink and heat embossed the trees in green. I then fussy cut the trees and popped them up on dimensionals.
- The Small Script Merry Christmas 272E is heat embossed with red emboss powder.
- The card is finished with several clear sequins.

Hi Everyone,
With all preparation for Thanksgiving, starting to decorate for Christmas, trying to snag a few deals by shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, today's card share had to be clean and simple. Lucky for me, DRS Designs had the perfect new stamps to make that happen!
I used both the new Hello Winter Greeting (283E) and the Simple Pine Trees (285E), which I heat embossed with some glittery powder to give the simple black and white a little oomph.
I dry embossed only a portion of the card layer to leave room to stamp those trees and I attached the pennants to the greeting before attaching it to the card with some dimensional foam tape.
I don't think I've ever made a card that marks the arrival of the winter solstice, but I loved using these stamps!
Have you started on your holiday cards yet?
Happy Stamping!
Karin

I love the new Simple Pine Trees 285E. They are great for backgrounds or simple card fronts. For my card today, I used it for a really simple card front.
- First, I masked off the small tree and only used the large tree. Once the tree was stamped I stamped the new Small Script Merry Christmas 272E and stamped it so it was touching the tree.
- I then colored the tree with copics and added some red Nuvo Drops to the tree and also the I on Christmas.
- I then cut the layer down and added the bright green card stock to pick up some of the color on the tree.
I might need to make more of this card and color the tree up in other colors.
Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my card this week.

Hi Everyone,
While I know Thanksgiving is this week, I couldn't resist showing off a couple of the new stamps soon to be released here at DRS Designs.
I stamped and colored up the new Berries and Bow Christmas Decoration (9275F), die cutting it and turning it into a tag by punching a hole in the top and adding a ribbon. I then layered it onto an embossed holly background and added the new Small Script Merry Christmas (272E) Greeting.
To finish it off, I added some punched holly leaves and red gems as berries, and also added some glitter glue to the image berries as well. It's the holidays, there is no such thing as too much glitter this time of year!
Be sure to stop back and see all of the new holiday and winter stamps!
Happy Holidays!

Painting Poinsettias
>> Wednesday, August 23, 2023
Hello Crafty Friends,
Don't you love learning new techniques?
I have been learning the Wet on Damp Watercoloring technique covered in THIS YouTube video by Anna Bucciarelli. I thought it would be great on a stamped poinsettia so I stamped the DRS Designs Giant Poinsettia on my paper a few times, and then watercolored it all with Daniel Smith Watercolors. When the petals were still damp, I extended the viens a bit. I have a long way to go before I get this technique down, but I am still loving the results. Plus I did this on regular Heavyweight Paper from The Paper Studio and it would have been much easier on watercolor paper.
I finished the card off with a lightly sponged Merriest Wishes Greeting.Merry Christmas to All

It is about time for me to start working on Christmas cards so I don't get behind. I realized I have a couple of very large bins of gems and thought I could use some up for a fun Christmas card.
For this card:
- I laid a circle die cut on white card stock for placement, then found several shades of pink pearls and gems in my stash along with some clear and white gems and pearls.
- I carefully placed them around the circle die cut and glued them down adding some darker gems in to add some accent.
- Once I had good placement, I picked up the die cut and added a few to the center to give it a bit more build up on the wreath.
- I tied a light pink bow at the top and glued it to the back of the card stock.
- The card was finished with the MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL - 099D in pink and then layered on a bright pink card stock.
