Happy Birthday!

Hope Your Day Sparkles!

I used glitter paper from DCWV for the background of this card.  I colored in "Sparkles" with a Spica glitter pen, but it's kinda hard to see the glitter on that portion of the card.  Think of all the possiblities with this sentiment!!

Un"Frog"ettable

I just adore the big eyes on this frog.... he's pretty un"frog"ettable!!  I colored him with Copics, then added white gel pen accents.  The chipboard circle was inked with green ink and silver dew drops were adhered with glue.  Thanks for looking!

Black and White

After I stamped this image I thought "Wow!"  this is so pretty on it's own I'm not even gonna color it in.  Well it did also happen that all my markers were packed away from a class I taught over the weekend :)  Seriously though this image looks very striking in just black and whiteand can easily stand on it's own with no additional coloring.  I added an embossed background and a spiro oval peeking out from underneath.

Bright Bugs

Love the smiley facs on these bugs!!   I was inspired by the colors of the gingham ribbon in my bow to put these 2 colors together.  Nice & bright for a warm and sunny spring weekend!

Purple Bunny Easter Card

I don't know what inspired me to color the bunny purple... but I love how he turned out!  I combined the purple with a light teal color, silvery aqua ribbon and lots of rhinestones.  The inside has a Happy Easter greeting.  Thanks for looking!

When Irish Eyes are Smiling

A Little Irish Luck

Both of todays cards were made with some of the new St. Paddy's day stamps from DRS "Everything Irish" and "Hatful of Shamrocks". I just love coloring in the top image, I've made a few cards with it, but this is my favorite coloring job yet. The beer has liquid applique for the foam and the pot of gold feaures both Smooch in gold and gold glitter for a little extra sparkle. I also added some gold sticker edging for a little more bling. I used Core'dinations "Whitewash" cardstock for the base of these cards. The argyle was embossed with a cuttlebug then sanded to show the darker core.

Jelly Bean Friendship

These yummy jelly beans are lots of fun to stamp and color... almost as much fun as eating!  I just love Jelly Belly beans, especially mixing the flavors.  I colored these with pinks, oranges, yellows and purple to pull together the kinda bright colors of this card.

Luck o' the Irish

The main image was colored with Copic markers.  I used some brand spankin' new stamps for this card (they may not even be out yet).  The tiny shamrocks are actually part of the sentiment stamp and I just trimmed them off by themselves for this card.

Wedding Wishes

I just love the simplicity of this card!   This stamped verse is one of my favorites (and almost everyone elses) for a wedding reading, so naturally it make a perfect wedding card as well.

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the bottom half of the card.   The sentiment fits perfectly in a spellbinder rectangle.

Valentines Card

Warmest Wishes

It's January and looks pretty much like this scene here at my house. I'm really looking forward to some warm weather! In the mean time I'll just send "Warmest Wishes" out to my friends hoping they are enjoying the snow more than I am right now! This card uses the new release "Bootprints in the Snow" as the main image and the sentiment "Warmest Wishes". The blue background was stamped with Vicki's Versatile Background - love the look it adds to colored paper!

Happy Valentines Day

I used one of the new releases Valentine Flower Heart for this card.  The main image was colored with markers, then tiny red rhinestones were applied to each of the flower centers.  The image was cut out and popped up with dimensionals on a cuttlebug embossed background.  I added a red border to make it pop.  I don't usually use white as the predominent color on my cards, but this one really works for me!

Howdy!

I just LOVE this little country snowman!!  Especially his cute bandanna and the picture perfect farm scene in the background.  For the main image I sponged the sky with Ballet Blue SU ink, then colored the remaining elements with Copic markers.  For the sparkling snow I laid down a thin layer of liquid glue on the paper and covered it with the last of my irridescent glitter.... guess it's time to buy more because I use it all the time!  The letters along the bottom of the card spelling out the greeting are stickers that have a printed burlap look to them.  I echoed this look by stamping the top of the card with Mesh Background (H883) and overlapping the stamped images.

Winter Trees

I'm so excited for my first post on the DRS team!  I just love the stamps and have had alot of fun using them in the past, so when I was invited to join the team it was a bit YES from me.

I used one of the new, upcoming releases for the main image above and sponged the background with yellow, orange, pink and red to create a winter sunrise (or sunset).  The snow is covered with sparkling glitter.  Other stamps used on this card are #B250 One Line Happy Birthday & H369 Vicki's Versatile Background.

The second card features the same stamp paired with H366 Lots of Lines background.  For this card I covered the snow with irridescent glitter again, but this time paper pieced the fence on the foreground and popped it up on dimensionals.  I left this one with no sentiment so I can use it for any occasion this winter.
