Love and Blessings

>> Thursday, February 1, 2024

 Hello friends!

Today I've used this cute fat frog, Friendly Flower Frog, with the new Love and Blessings Valentine.  I used Scattered Hearts with Kitsch Flamingo Oxide for the background.

The heart dies are from Impression Obsession, one is cut from bright pink corrugated stock and one from a medium pink cardstock.

I popped up the frog (isn't he adorable?) and the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting today!

Helplessly in Love with You!

>> Thursday, July 28, 2022

 Good morning crafty friends!

This froggy is doing a hubba-hubba with those eyes but he scares her off the log, too much too fast!  Slow down there prince, let her warm-up to you!!

Don't worry friends, she'll be back, there's just something about that guy! LOL!

I made this a heart shaped easel today; the dies are HC.
My background is watercolor paper, spray inks and Kosher (coarse) salt.

Thanks for visiting today!

Frog Legs Wishes

>> Wednesday, July 13, 2022

The frogs in our pond are doing overtime these days, and they have inspired me to play with the new Diving Frog Legs.

I stamped the legs all over my main panel, and ran it through a wood embossing folder (it was the one out on my counter - lol).  I then sponged on some Distress Oxide and added a bit of Stickles.  The card was finished off with the super fun Frog in your Pants Greeting.  Fun and quick.  The boys in my family love this card.

Hope your week is going really well and you are not finding any frogs anywhere you don't want them!

Hugz,

Nancy

Some images scream fun, and the new Diving Frog Legs definitely screams loudly!

On this fun card, I went CAS, but the image pairs so well with other images too.

I added a part of the Sit! Stay! Greeting and a few extra bubbles (all bubbles have Stickles).

Hope you have had a fun week so far!  Hugz,

Hot Diggity!

>> Thursday, May 19, 2022

 Good morning!

Another doggy card for you today, isn't he just adorable!! Let's Play Puppy, Dog Bone, Dog Paw Background, Small Dog Print and Hot Diggity Dog Birthday

I used the dog print like a dog tag and for the greeting, I reversed the sentiment.  I also used one of my favorite sketches.
The bone was inserted in the puppy's mouth after I made a little slit.

My next card uses the happy Diving Frog Legs...creative license saying
the frog is happy, LOL! I used part of the Woven Plaid for my background paper, Happy Happy Happy Day for the decorative strip behind the frog square, Village Rocks/Pond Edge
with the diving frog and Have I Toad You sentiment (to go with the happy happy happy day!!)

I used Liquid Applique and glitter on the splashes. Also added 3 enamel dots...this is one very green card! LOL!
Thanks for visiting today!
Happy crafting everyone!!

Cows Are Comin' Home!

>> Thursday, April 21, 2022

Good morning!

New release stamps used: Let's Play Puppy and Diving Frog Legs
I used a Kaliedacolor Pad for inking the Happy Birthday.
For the frog splash I used Liquid Applique puffed up with heat and Crystal Stickles on top.
My dog LOVES catching frogs!! Not to worry, after playing a bit he goes his way and the frog gets up and hops back into the pond!!
What a fun game they play!

My next card features the new Cow Cutie
I stamped her 3 times using masks to stamp the cow behind.
I also used the new sentiment: Udder-ly Wonderful Birthday
Older release stamps include: Cowboy Cactus and

This new cow really is a cutie! And the cow sentiment, how funny!!
I've been wanting a cow for a long time to go with the Party Till the Cows Come Home so now I have the cow and a couple more sentiments to go with it too, how fun!!
That first cow has the cowboy hat from Cowboy Cactus on her, she must have snatched it while he was taking a nap or something.  I used a grass border punch from the Martha Stewart line to put under the sentiment.
Background panels for this card uses a 3D folder inked up like a letterpress.  It is very tooled leather looking.  I used some texture paper like stuff from Sizzix (comes in a roll).  It looked like suede even before using the 3D folder with ink.

Thanks for visiting today!

Un"FROG"ettable!

>> Monday, February 28, 2022

I am feeling spring just around the corner. So I thought I would create a spring card and even included a springing frog using this FRIENDLY FLOWER FROG - 1115G and some pastel colors.

  • I stamped the FRIENDLY FLOWER FROG - 1115G and colored with copics.
  • Next, I used an eraser to stamp the smaller yellow and green dots on the white card stock and a larger pink dot was added sponging in a circle template.
  • I then stamped the UN'FROG'ETTABLE GREETING - 266E.
  • I then fussy cut the FRIENDLY FLOWER FROG - 1115G and popped it on dimensionals.
  • Under the frog I hand drew in some motion like he is hopping.
  • I finished off the card with some punched yellow card stock.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week.

Get Your Irish On!

>> Thursday, February 24, 2022

 Good morning!

Hey I told you last week that you could find this little frog just about anywhere!  Here he is again, getting his hands on the pot of gold!  Could have been getting into that glass of Ale first I think!

So today I have used the Toad Made For You, Everything Irish and Irish On along with a shamrock embossing folder and a few stitched dies.  The nesting stitched circles made a great rainbow (to find that pot of gold at the end of, right?) and then I used a stitched 3/4 circle and a stitched banner die as well.

I used some green glitter glue on the shamrocks in the image and some green enamel dots on the banner.
I also used some Liquid Applique on the ale foam then puffed it with a heat gun!
Hope you like it; it was a ton of fun to make!

Thanks for visiting today!
Go get crafty!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

>> Thursday, February 17, 2022

Hello everyone!
Now Valentine's Day is over time to start thinking of all those St. Patrick's cards you are wanting to make either to give to kids, grandkids or hey, just to make them! LOL!
Here is a couple of fun ones for you (you can find this green frog anywhere!!!) đŸ‘€
For the background I used an embossing folder with shamrocks then I made a plaid strip (actually did 2 at once) with the Woven Plaid and 3 colors of green ink.
For the image I stamped the little frog, Toad Made For You, first then masked him and stamped the St. Patrick's Pot of Gold.  I die cut him with a cross-stitch circle die and put everything together.

For my next card I used the other plaid strip I made on top of the same shamrock embossing folder, this time on white,
I stamped the little frog first, masked then stamped the Shamrock Circle, cut it out with a circle die then mounted it on another circle done in green.  I put a dot of green Stickles in the center of each shamrock.
I stamped the Top Hat St. Patrick's Day on a separate piece of white and cut it out with an oval die.

After stamping the Top Hat I sponged the edge with green ink.  The sentiment and the circle are popped up.

Hope you liked today's cards!!
Go get crafty!

Every Beat of My Heart

>> Thursday, January 13, 2022

 Good morning!

It is getting ever closer to Valentine's Day, are you ready?

Here is a card that is pretty simple.  Just grab a background that you have in your stash (this one was a marbling technique done with alcohol inks)  I used the DRS I love you! with  the Every Beat of My Heart together on a block using Black VersaFine Claire then came back with the Heartbeat in a dark red color.

The cute Shell'don The Turtle was stamp on white with Memento Black Tuxedo then stamped again on a plain piece of smooth rubber (usually called a Mirror Stamp) then stamped from the mirror onto paper (I used a Misti for this but you don't have to).

I cut them out then colored them.  I did use an ink pen to blacken the lines on the mirrored image, it just needed it.

There you have it.  I popped up the turtles and added some enamel dot, it's done.

June Birthday

>> Tuesday, June 1, 2021

 Hi Everyone, happy June!

It's always a celebration when my favorite pig makes an appearance on a card! Birthday Party Pig was colored and fussy cut, and set aside as I created the background for him.

I dry embossed the top, stamped the bottom portion of my paper using the Interlocking Circle Background stamp, and chose the June Birthday Greeting, to make the card more personal for the recipient.  The new Push Pin stamp makes for the best little embellishment, so I stamped it in the corner, and then fussy cut the head and attached it to the card.

Some ribbon was used to cover up the seam, and I attached that partyin' pig to the card.  It still wasn't celebratory enough for me, so out came my gems that I attached to the centers of those circles.  Now it finally seemed complete ;-)

I had this Friendly Flower Frog , which was colored and fussy cut for a previous project that never came together. Not being a person who can toss anything away, I decided on a simple embossed background that I added some chalk and glitter glue to, in an attempt to match up the flowers on the frog.

I attached the Have I Toad You Greeting, and added the frog with some dimensional foam tape.  These types of cards are some of my favorites for a card stash.  When the time comes, the inside can be stamped with just about anything and it will fit the outside sentiment!

Peep, it’s spring!

>> Tuesday, April 13, 2021

 Hi Everyone,

I love this darling little Chick in Nest stamp, and while it's great for Easter, it makes for a great spring time hello card too.

I attached it to a background of embossed chicken wire and a stamped Checkerboard Background in yellow ink. I covered up the seam using some lace and burlap trim, embellishing with a pre-made yellow flower.

The peep greeting was made using only the word peep from the Favorite Easter Peeps Greeting and a word bubble punch.

For my scene on this card I stamped Frog Boy Cutie Pie Kid and then masked him off in order to create the sky and river bank behind him.  I wanted him to look like he was standing in the creek catching frogs, so it tried to color over his feet and make the bottom of his overalls darker in color.  I'm not sure how successful I was, but his little face is just so cute!

I stamped the Have I Toad You Greeting by splitting it in half, to fit inside a punch and added the I Love You Greeting, that was also made using a banner punch.

I remember picking dandelions for my mom as a small child, as a symbol of my love for her.  Perhaps if I was a boy, I may have brought her frogs instead :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Toad You...

>> Friday, April 9, 2021

by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! And I hope you had a lovely Easter. Spring has definitely sprung around here. We've had a few nights below freezing but the days have been sunny, dry & in the upper 60's. Things are really blooming now..the peach trees, the apple trees, the pear tree..we have them all in our yard. I'm hoping we actually have fruit we can eat this year. Last year, there was some fruit, but critters stripped the trees during the night, so I'll have to keep watch this year.

For my card today, I used this adorable frog on a log to go w/ the new Toad You greeting. I stamped him, then added the cattails & rocks, colored them then sponged a little tumbled glass at the top. I didn't didn't leave enough room to stamp the 1 line greeting, so it became a 2 line greeting. A dk brown mat was attached behind the scene, then onto the card.

Here's the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Supplies:
paper:  Staples 110# white, dk brown, X-Press It
ink:  Memento tuxedo black, Distress ink tumbled glass,  (Kaleidacolor Fresh Greens also used on inside)
accessories: Rubbernecker  Rectangle Stitch dies, Copic Markers

Have I Toad You!

>> Thursday, April 8, 2021

 Good morning!

Today I've used the Friendly Flower Frog, Have I Toad You and You Brighten My Day

DRS Design stamps.

I also used a stencil for the background from Lavinia.
I like the blue and green color scheme.
The circle die is from Rubbernecker.

My second card features the new Flowering Bird Branch, the classic Dogwood Branch

I filled my background with the dog wood and stamped the Branch and
sentiment separately.
The branch was die cut with a "cross stitch" type oval die from Rubbernecker.
My sentiment was die cut with (a very old) Spellbinder label type die.
The branch was popped up using  a foam sheet (Fun Foam).
Thanks for visiting today!

Frogs and Flowers

>> Wednesday, April 7, 2021

Hello Crafty Friends!

Have you seen the fun new Have I Toad You Greeting that we came out with last month?  I used it with the fun Frog on a Log (one of my favorite DRS stamps), but DRS has a lot of stamps it would look fun with such as the toadstool stamps, Frog Boy Cutie Pie Kid, Friendly Flower Frog, and the Tiny Frog.

My backgrounds were made with heat embossing and I used the Tree Slice Woodgrain stamp for the red background.  The image was colored up with water colors.  I cased a card by Cara Denise HERE when making this card. Her sketch inspired me.

I also want to share a vintage Art Journal page I made last week with the Dogwood Branch stamp.  The vintage picture was a damaged one where I cut off the damage.  My Grandmother is in the middle in the cute skirt - I am guessing she is about 18 in the picture.

I water-colored the flowers, sponged the cloud background and did some stenciling.  I just kept adding ink and stencils and paper until the background worked.
Hope you are having a good week.

Hugz,

Nancy

Have I Toad You

>> Tuesday, March 23, 2021

Hi Everyone!

I was trying to figure out how to add a ribbon to this card.  Looking at it, I still feel like I need to add a ribbon and bow; thread it through the white die cut, or behind the toad and flowers...I don't know and I could seem to make it work, so I chose the less is better route and here we are.  I do, however, love the purple and green colors together and the darling Friendly Flower Frog paired up with the Have I Toad You Greeting. I will stand by the concept, if you have great stamps, you really don't need more, so I simply added the fussy cut Flower Border that was colored to match the other flowers.

And to match the outside greeting, I stamped the Medium Happy Easter Greeting and the Tiny Frog inside.

Want more fun stamps for spring and Easter time?

DRS Designs has you covered!  Just hop on over to the DRS Designs store.

Have a great day!

Irish On!

>> Thursday, March 11, 2021

Good morning!
First let me just say that I got this idea of the
little Irish looking derby on the frog from Karin.
This frog usually holds flowers but I covered the flowers
with some die cut Clover from Taylored Expressions
The hat, pipe and glasses come from Karen Burniston, the rectangle frame is from Rubbernecker.
The DRS stamps used: Shamrock of Shamrocks, Irish On

I popped up the frame and the frog.  The sentiment was one long line but I made it into 2 for the benefit of fitting in the rectangle.  Each Shamrock has some green Stickles in the center.  This card was in the style of 1 of the many sketches I have collected over the years (I think it was originally from ODBD).

My next card was inspired by Lisa with the rainbow over the pot of gold.

The Rainbow/cloud is from Lawn Fawn, Clover by Taylored Expressions, and circle is from Rubbernecker.

I used DRS Stamps: St. Patrick's Pot of Gold and Rainbow Gold.

The card reminds me of all those Lucky Charms commercials,
So magically delicious! LOL!

Happy St Patrick's Day

>> Sunday, February 28, 2021

Oh my goodness I can't get enough of this cute new frog. My little sister collects frogs and this will make some fun cards for her.

I started off with stamping the TOAD MADE FOR YOU RECOGNITION STAMP - 363D and I left off the sentiment that came with him. I then masked him and used the new ST. PATRICK'S POT OF GOLD - 466H image I then colored the image with copics and cut the layers.

For the base layer I used the WOVEN PLAID - 613P on green and then I added an emboss folder and gold designer paper to trim the embossing.

I finished the card with some gold sequins.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week.
