Stamps: Bloomin' Huge Flower (M1023), Confirmation Greeting (G403)
Paper: Pure Luxury 120lb (GinaK), Kiwi Kiss (Stampin' Up; retired), Fabriano Notecard
Ink: Stazon™, various for colourig
Accessories: Aquapainter™, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder

It's time for my last blog post as a Guest Design Team member for DRS :( I made these two cards using two images: Bloomin' Huge Flower and Confirmation Greeting. Both layouts come from the Clean & Simple stamping blog (#53 and #54). These were so easy to make and yet they turned out so pretty, don't you think? The flower is a stunning image and can easily stand on it's own. You don't always have to make a card that is mondo in details and layers for it still to be striking, eh?! (yes, my Canadian-ness is showing, hee hee!!)

Both cards use the same basic supplies. The main differences? On one card, I used a partial piece of the sentiment by masking the other words while inking. They are both embossed using iridescent ice embossing powder - the whole panel on the pink flower is embossed and only the purple flower is embossed.

I have sincerely enjoyed being a part of this team and being able to play with the fabulous images that DRS makes. And while I'm not quite done yet, I will still be around for the rest of this month and will always play with these images!! Thanks soooooooooo much for having me here!!!

), Basic Black, Good Morning Sunshine DSP (retired)

As you know, DRS is sponsoring the Card Positioning Systems (CPS) sketch this week! It's a really fun sketch!! I love a good sketch and they are always a fabulous sketch place with some phenomenal talent! I used some newly released images from DRS for this sketch. There are three separate stamps used: "Beach Baby", "Beach Boy", and the sentiment "Fun in the Sun". I coloured the beach kids in with Copic markers after I'd picked out my paper. Loved colouring these babies! So, hope you like what I've done!! Check out CPS to see what others have done with this sketch!! Thanks for stopping by!

Bloomin' Huge Flower by Renée

by Renée (Stamping for Sanity)

Hello! It's my turn to show you all something fun! I have to say that I LOVE what everyone has posted using this particular image, Bloomin' Huge Flower (#M1023). I love love love love this flower (did I say that I LOVE it enough?)! It's a gorgeous image that has no end of possibilities.

I decided to create a relatively simple card, meaning no paper layers! I randomly stamped the flower over the card stock and then coloured it in using my Copic markers. I don't usually use purple, but I guess that's what kind of mood I was in 'cause this card is purple all the way! But, I couldn't quite stop there. The card looked a little blah and needed a teensy bit more oomph so I added an overlay of acetate that I stamped the Easy Dot Background (#H628) all over using white Stazon ink. You can see the overlay a little better on this pic on the left. I added buttons over the flower centres on the acetate as well as the sentiment (You are My Sunshine - #D1089).

I hope you like it!

Stamps: Brush Cattails (M1085), Singing Frog (H138), Hoppy Birthday (E440) (DRS Designs)
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, East Coast Prep DSP (retired), Real Red
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Copic Markers
Accessories: Corner Rounder, Cystal Effects®, Dimensionals®, Mat Pack & Piercer

Hey everyone!! I'm soooooooooo excited to be a guest designer for DRS Designs over the next couple of months! DRS has really fabulous images and I made this card using three of them. I stamped the sentiment, but cut it apart to use it separately on the top and bottom. The image was coloured in with Copic markers. I have a loooong way to go to learn how to effectively use these markers, but I still like how this one came out. The frog and the sentiment are covered with Crystal Effects, just to give some added dimension. I love how this card came together and hope you do to!
