It's time for my last blog post as a Guest Design Team member for DRS :( I made these two cards using two images: Bloomin' Huge Flower and Confirmation Greeting. Both layouts come from the Clean & Simple stamping blog (#53 and #54). These were so easy to make and yet they turned out so pretty, don't you think? The flower is a stunning image and can easily stand on it's own. You don't always have to make a card that is mondo in details and layers for it still to be striking, eh?! (yes, my Canadian-ness is showing, hee hee!!)
Both cards use the same basic supplies. The main differences? On one card, I used a partial piece of the sentiment by masking the other words while inking. They are both embossed using iridescent ice embossing powder - the whole panel on the pink flower is embossed and only the purple flower is embossed.
I have sincerely enjoyed being a part of this team and being able to play with the fabulous images that DRS makes. And while I'm not quite done yet, I will still be around for the rest of this month and will always play with these images!! Thanks soooooooooo much for having me here!!!
Renée
