Happy Anniversary

>> Tuesday, April 2, 2024

Hi Everyone,

My best friend has her 30th anniversary coming up this month, and since I've been making a card for many of those years, I think I've used most of my anniversary themed stamps for them already.  I was trying to think outside the box when I came across some Valentine stamps that I still had out on my stamping table.  How messy am I, it's April!?! Yikes.  Anyway, I thought if I used spring colors with these stamps that I would normally use pink or red for, they could make a cute anniversary card.

Here are the stamps I used:

Happy Spring!

Lucky

>> Thursday, March 21, 2024

 Hello friends!

Well this is a bit different isn't it? I was trying to use a new sketch that came up on SplitCoastStampers this week but I put my own spin on it.  I used a background piece I previously made (paint, cellophane and glossy black cardstock) to start this project then cut out white squares and stamped on them just the spade part of 4 Suite Verticle.  I then arranged them on the card front in diamond shapes.

I used letter dies by I.O. with foam under them also cut with the letter dies, to say Lucky.

I popped up the frame made with MemoryBox dies then started on the inside.

Because everything looked black and white, I decided not to color the poker 5 cards hand image.
I then stamped the Lucky In Love.

Have fun crafting today and thanks for visiting!

With Every Beat of My Heart

>> Monday, February 13, 2023

Recently I started going through my scrap papers looking for ways to clear some out. I started punching out some hearts and thought oh how fun would it be to create a card full of love in blue. Blue is my favorite color so it works for me.

  • I punched out several different blue hearts then layered the base layer of hearts to create a heart shape.
  • Next, I added a second layer of blue hearts and put them on dimensionals.
  • I added a pink flower and a couple of leaves and a blue gem.
  • The hearts were finished with white gel pen.
  • I used the EVERY BEAT OF MY HEART GREETING - 1056D stamped in blue.
How do you use scraps in your crafting?

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my card this week.

This EVERY BEAT OF MY HEART GREETING - 1056D is absolutely perfect for a card full of love to send to anyone. For my card today:

  • I used an all over heart emboss folder for the card base.
  • Next, I die cut the letters for LOVE and popped them up on dimensionals.
  • I then added EVERY BEAT OF MY HEART GREETING - 1056D on a banner and popped them up on more dimensionals.
  • The card was finished with a few white pearls.

Lucky in Love

>> Monday, May 2, 2022

I needed a quick anniversary card and the FLOWERING BIRD BRANCH - 616L is just perfect for showing love with those cute little birds.

  • I stamped the FLOWERING BIRD BRANCH - 616L on the card base and colored with copics.
  • Next, I die cut the heart aperture out of the card stock and used dimensionals over the image.
  • The LUCKY IN LOVE - 992F is a great sentiment for an anniversary card so I used that and stamped it in red.
  • I finished with a couple of punched flowers that I shaped with a stylist and added a bit of pink Nuvo Drops to the centers.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week.

Happy Valentine's Day

>> Monday, February 14, 2022

  • I love the look of Iris Folding. I also see you can get a very similar look with ribbon. You can get a very similar look with Ribbon Weaving which is what I have on today's card.

  •  Next, I added strong double sided tape to the back on the heart and then created this ribbon woven heart. Once the heart was done I matted the layer on red card stock.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day. Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today.

Mini Cards

>> Tuesday, February 8, 2022

Hi Everyone,

January always gets me in the mood to organize.  During that initial rush of digging through craft supplies, I came across some tiny, 3" envelopes.  So, instead of making A2 sized simple cards, I made them mini, gift enclosure sized cards.

For the card on the left, I cut the card base maybe 1/16th smaller, so that it would fit in the envelope and embossed the background with hearts. I stamped the Cocoa and Marshmallows, fussy cut it and attached to to the background.  I decorated it using the Small Silhouette Heart and I used a portion of the Cheap Chocolate Eve Greeting on the front as well.

The Paper Coffee Cup was stamped along the fold of my card stock, and then fussy cut.  I stamped it couple of more times onto pink and fuchsia paper that I fussy cut and embellished using the Splatter and Vicki's Versatile Background stamps. I finished that using a fussy cut Candy Heart along with the lid.

Inside there was just enough room for a sentiment and wee bit of room to sign something personal.

Inside stamps are as follows:

The Valentine's Day countdown has begun...Have you finished your card making?  There are more stamps and ideas at DRS Designs!

Happy Stamping!

I love chocolate and I really love chocolate when there are no extra calories.  My card today features the new LOVE YOU MORE CHOCOLATE GREETING - 1057E. I stamped a portion on white card stock and die cut the ovals. I then stamped the CHOCOLATE CHIP BACKGROUND - 361H with versamark and heat embossed it with copper emboss powder on tan card stock.

The sentiment is popped up on dimensionals and then the heat embossed GIANT CHOCOLATE CHIP - 195D is fussy cut with a added banner and a punched heart.

The inside of the card has the rest of the LOVE YOU MORE CHOCOLATE GREETING - 1057E

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week.

Valentine Fun with Stencils

>> Saturday, January 29, 2022

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a Valentine's Day card that was inspired by my friend Ardyth who was the Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers last week.  I was inspired by multiple cards and techniques that she uses.  If you want to check out her fun style click HERE.  She loves to play with stencils so I used the double stencil technique where you double up your stencils before applying your ink with a brush.  After I was done, I highlighted some of the cool patterns with gold Stickles for added interest.  This made a fun background for this new DRS Designs' Cheap Chocoate Eve Greeting

After I was done, I highlighted some of the cool patterns with gold Stickles for added interest.  This made a fun background for this new DRS Designs' Cheap Chocoate Eve Greeting

Since my circle stencil was already out, and I had leftover ink on my brush, I made another card.  This one features the new Heartbeat and the Every Beat of My Heart Greeting
Hope you have a great weekend (stay warm).

Hugz,

Nancy

Happy Valentine’s Day

>> Tuesday, January 18, 2022

 Hi Everyone,

I was inspired by my design teammates past cards and decided to color up some Candy Hearts for the background on today's card.  They're easy and fun to color, so I simply added a matching embossed background (Darice) along with the new Double Line Happy Valentine's Day Greeting.  A few half pearls completed the look.

I couldn't resist making another chocolate card.  Last week I made bon bons on my card, and here is a regular old chocolate bar.  I'll take chocolate in any form!

I used my rectangle and square Spellbinders dies for my bar, and I wrapped it in foil and some pink paper that I stamped using Scatters Hearts.   For embellishment, I stamped and fussy cut a heart, and wrapped the bar in a piece of tulle.

I attached my candy bar to an embossed heart background (Darice) and used the new Love You More Chocolate Greeting that I divided into two parts, using some punches.

Thanks for visiting!  Be sure to stop on over at the DRS Designs store and see all of these stamps and more!

Hugs, Kisses...

This great HUGS KISSES VALENTINE WISHES GREETING - 465F is perfect for a wonderful Valentine card.

For my card I stamped the sentiment in pink and die cut the layer. The base is red and white and glued together then embossed together. Next, I layered on the same pink and added the bow.

The base was finished with gems to add a bit of sparkle and the sentiment popped up on dimensionals.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week.

I'm Wild About You

>> Monday, October 4, 2021

This HAPPY SHARK - 153G is absolutely perfect for an underwater card and when I can do a Clean and Simple underwater card all the better.

For the base I used a water stencil and 2 different colored blue distress oxide colors. I then die cut the heart and the framing and added the I'M WILD ABOUT YOU GREETING - 331D.

I finished off the card with some sparkly sequins from my collection and popped the panel up on dimensionals.

I have a second card to share this week. It is another Clean and Simple card.

This one is a shaker card where I let the sentiment and shaker be the whole card. I used the new Season of Thanks Oval - 828K stamped with Stazon ink on acetate for my focal.

I then used glitter for the shaker. It is very shiny behind the focal but tough to get a good picture of how shiny it is. Once the focal was created I popped it up on dimensionals and added the glitter.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my cards this week.

Wild About You...

I am wild about this cute JUNGLE JIM THE ELEPHANT - 842K and he is perfect for any time of year.

For this card I paired Jungle Jim a simple die cut trees and sponged yellow background. Once Jungle Jim was stamped he was colored with copics and then fussy cut.  I added a bit of shaping to him once fussy cut and popped him up on dimensionals.

I then finished him off with the I'M WILD ABOUT YOU GREETING - 331D

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week.

I'm wild about you...

>> Sunday, April 25, 2021

JUNGLE JIM THE ELEPHANT - 842K has to be the happiest elephant I have ever seen in a stamp. My aunt loves elephants and I need to make a few cards with this one for sending her some happy mail.

The base layer is a leaf background die cut and I layered a green card stock base under it.

I then die cut the heart and stamped Jungle Jim and colored him with copics. I then fussy cut Jungle Jim and popped him up on dimensionals adding a bit of rounding to the edges to give him a better finished look.

I'M WILD ABOUT YOU GREETING - 331D was heat embossed in white on black cardstock and then I just used scissors to cut the edge.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week.

Lucky Leonard

>> Friday, February 5, 2021

by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! The groundhog saw his shadow down here, so they're saying 6 more weeks of winter. And it sure has been cold & windy here. A few mornings we've gotten up to find a dusting of snow covering everything. Nothing too heavy, but the wind has been pretty brutal.

Today I have another Valentine card. I had stamped these love hearts w/ the same pink to purple rainbow pad as my other card, but didn't use them on that one. So today's the day. The large heart had already been die cut out of the center, so I stamped Leonard, colored him & the lower section of the heart. I added the pink border then put the heart back & stamped the greeting on the front. The ink pad was also used to add the color on the edge of the main panel.
Here's the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Supplies:
paper: Staples 110# white
ink:  Memento tuxedo black, Inkxpressions rainbow
accessories: Rubbernecker Rectangle Stitch dies, Heart Solid die Copic Sketch Markers

Animal Valentines

>> Tuesday, February 2, 2021

 Hi Everyone,

Happy Groundhog's Day!  No card to celebrate this minor holiday, but I do have a couple of Valentines to share.

I've spoken about my love of puns on cards, so I went ahead and made a minor change on the new Lucky in Love greeting, to make it match my image on today's card.  I simply added a die cut letter d.

For the image, I stamped the Ducks Decoration, and then made a mask of the ducks too, so that I could stamp a field of Flower Hearts for them to frolic in.

The background paper was made with the faithful, never let me down Splatter Background stamp, along with the Small Silhouette Heart stamp in pink ink.  It's subtle, but I promise you they are there, and I finished the card by making some matching, gem filled flowers.

Inside, I used the new Valentine Drop Hearts for the message and a few more of those pink hearts.

While I made this card with Valentine's day in mind, since it's not red or pink, it could be used for your sweetheart any time of the year.

I colored up Jimbo and the Gang and attached it to a background that I made by inking up an embossing folder.  A row of die cut hearts and the I'm Wild About You Greeting were all I added to it.

The DRS Designs store has all of these stamps and other card making desires!  Just click on over here!

Have a great day!

Heroes and Hearts

>> Tuesday, June 30, 2020

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would try a heart theme to go along with the You are my Hero Greeting on my today.

Beginning by stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the Wooden Frame Collection, I then went about choosing things to fill them with. Some pink and red punched hearts in one, the sentiment in another, and Bandages (heart embellished of course) and a butterfly (from the Three Butterflies) in the last.

I attached them to an embossed heart background and I made a heart border for the bottom using the Scattered Hearts stamp.

For all of these stamps and many more, please check out the new designs page at the DRS Designs store!

Thanks for popping by...
Karin
