Let the Graduation Parties Begin!

>> Saturday, May 18, 2013

Hello and happy Saturday!  I am bringing a graduation card to you today. I am afraid to count the number of cards that I still need to make!  I find it difficult to make masculine cards, but I love this sea grass...I off stamped it on the Culmination Graduation greeting panel, sponged sahara sand and baja breeze on the image panel and masked for the sun which I then sponged in with crushed curry.  No frills as this will go to a young man graduating from college.
Have a great Saturday!

This could also be submitted to the Thursday challenge which is circles this week.

Top o' the morning!

>> Saturday, February 23, 2013

Here's a St. Patrick's day card for you today.  I chose hazelnut tan, vanilla and baby blue for this card, and a bit of gingham ribbon.

After I stamped and embossed the hatfull of shamrocks, I decided to flip the hat and have the shamrocks come out of the bottom.  I thought it was a fun change.  The image and the bg were embossed in wasabi green ep.

I had so much fun making this card!  I am definitely going to have to give this to a neighbor whom reminds me so much of this Lucky Larry Leprechaun! VERY Irish. I added the  Shamrock bg as a backdrop and the single four leaf clover I stamped on gumball green, cut out and put a layer of crystal effects on it. The silver is metallic.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look.  Head on over to the DRS Designs store for some awesome stamps!

An Easter blooming with love

>> Saturday, February 9, 2013

Happy Day!
I opted for an Easter card today...time for something different from me:)
I stamped the Spring Crocus in black and used markers and a blender pen to color in lavender, summer sun and mellow moss. I distressed the edges of the image and the sentiment panel. I partially stamped the crocus image for the moss panel underneath and colored the crocus. The bottom moss layer was stamped with the polka dot bg and used the Blooming Easter Greeting. I decided to add a bunch of lavender rhinestones and some pretty, sheer purple ribbon to complete it.  Easter will be here before you know it and DRS has fabulous images to complete your Easter cards!

Tall Pines

>> Saturday, January 12, 2013

Good day!  I trust everyone is well on their way to a wonderful 2013!
I have to say this month's releases here at DRS Designs are fabulous!  I especially love the trees. I stamped the Double Tall Pines in black and painted the trees with pearlescent watercolors.  The trunks were colored in with crumb cake.  I masked the trees, sun and ground and brayered bermuda bay.  I sponged on apricot appeal for the sun and then using the sponge, I dragged it to make some rays. The ground was done in going gray.  A black mat on the image and the bermuda bay bg was embossed.  I stamped the sentiment, sponged in some color, black sponged around edges.  Have a great day!
