Good morning!
This first card has an alcohol background with white embossed feathers.
Makes the perfect background for this feathered friend card.
DRS stamps: Feathers 3 in 1, Extra Tweet Day and Bird Feeder
I've also used the MFT's frame dies.
My second card has a letter press type background done with an embossing folder.
I made my own frame this time with a rectangle die on a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2" red cardstock panel.
It is popped up with a piece of baker's twine strung between the sides.
I stamped the Silly Bird 3 times next to each other and changed the eyeballs by using a bit of white paint over the stamped eyeballs and using a black fine line pen to draw new ones.
The bow tie is die cut from black using a die set from Karen Burniston.
The new Silly birds are so fun to dress up and change up, they can be real characters.
Today is the first day of spring and it has been a nice one with
60 degrees and rain off and on, sounds like spring to me!

I think these are VERY special cards, Robin. Brilliant designing and full of special touches that I wish I would have thought of - seriously. Precious and darling in so many ways - your coloring skills are so wonderful. Awesome post. Hugz
These are fabulous bird cards! I love the colorful feather background and the double framing on the first one, and the three birdies are just adorable sitting on the twine wire. That bowtie is too cute :)
These are so pretty & so cute, Robin! Love the colors & white embossing on your first & the chubby birds looking different directions is so fun. Almost looks like the day an entire flock of robins landed in our front yard. There were so many, I lost count. I've never seen that many at one time.
2 amazing cards Robin! Your alcohol background is just beautiful and I love the double frame! Your silly bird card is another winner! I'm a little bummed I didn't think of using twine myself ;) I don't know what element I like more - the eyes, the bow tie or your awesome cloud background!!
