It's Your Birthday...

I can never have enough birthday cards. Today's card uses several stamps from DRS Designs.
- I started with stamping COWGIRL LINE DANCER - 682G.
- Since I knew I was going to color the images as a silhouette I stamped the COWBOY LINE DANCER - 686G right next to the COWGIRL LINE DANCER - 682G.
- Next, I used a black sharpie to color in the images as one solid stamped silhouette.
- I then masked the rectangle area of the card and used two different blue distress inks to get the rectangle and it is darker toward the edge and lighter in the center.
- For the sentiment I used the top portion of the SADDLE UP BIRTHDAY GREETING - 877F and used the bottom portion of the WESTERN WORD SQUARE - 634H.
- The card was finished with a few scattered gems.
Have you ever tried to create a silhouette with your stamps? It gives them a whole new look and is really easy to do especially if you are not in to coloring images.
Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my card this week.

What a great idea turning the cowboy and cowgirl into silhouette images! Love the simple sponged frame around them too! Great card with loads of impact!!
This is such a spectacular idea! Love the solid image couple you made against the sponged blue background! The sentiment you created is genius too...So fun!
