Watermelon Note

Happy Friday!

I hope your week has gone well! I think Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer & when I think of summer, I always think of watermelon. So I'm using a watermelon image for my card today. The ant is a bonus, lol. After I colored the scene, I die cut it then added a black scallop frame. For the bg, I embossed the red section w/ a border folder showing summer foods & the white section w/ the companion checkerboard folder. I added a narrow black strip to cover the divide & a couple of die cut buttons. I added a little black stickles on top of the buttons.

Here's the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Supplies:
paper:  Staples 110# white, black, red
ink:  Memento tuxedo black, (Kaliedacolor fruitcake used on inside)
accessories: Rubbernecker Square Stitch Square Stitch FrameRectangle Stitch   dies, Misti, stickles, Memory Box Scalloped buttons die
