Remembering the Fallen

>> Monday, May 31, 2021

Happy Memorial Day if you are in the United States.  It is a day we celebrate those who have given their life protecting us.  I am sure other countries have special days like this as well.  Yesterday, we visited the Poppy Project in Prattville, Alabama.  They set out the most beautiful pottery poppies all over the spillway near the old mill.  The town also puts up rememberance flags for fallen local heros.  It is a beautiful site.  I thought I would share some pictures of it with you.

I also thought I would share some past DRS Design team cards that seem to fit Memorial Day best - they would work for any country if you change up the colors.

This one was done by Robin in memory of her Father. She used Patriotic Bunting and Star Streamers.

This one was done by Karin.  She used the Camouflage Background on the background, Soldiers of America Greeting, and the Shihouette Soldiers image.

Here are is the Silhouette Soldiers and Camouflage Background on a card by Sheila too.
On this next card, Julie used the soldiers plus the You are My Hero Greeting
Lisa changed up the Camouflage background and soldier colors on her card, and she added in the Deco Thank You.
Lastly, one of my favorite past cards I have made is below.  This one has You are My Hero, the Silhouette Soldiers, the Starry Background and the Script Font Background (my favorite DRS Designs Image).
You can see from these previous cards made by the Design Team, you can make most these images fit a lot of different holidays, situations, countries, or people.

Hugz,

Nancy
