Beauty of the Season

>> Thursday, November 5, 2020

Good morning!
I have a couple of red cards today.
My first one features the Stretch The Round Button Snowman

The oval die is from Rubbernecker.  I actually used an embossing folder on part of the background
too.  I placed the embossing folder over the red and white then used a hammer to emboss just
where I wanted it (well almost, close anyway).

My second card uses the Potted Christmas TreeBeauty of the Season,

This was an "In the Box" cutting technique.  I stamped the tree at the left side of the cardstock drew a circle with the die then cutting from the center of the circle I cut to the point where the circle I drew meets the stamped line.  Then I placed the die on leaving the tree outside the die then cut the circle.
I cut another circle with the special edges and slipped it under the tree.  I cut a red frame using a scallop die from Spellbinders and the round die I used before.
Thanks for visiting today!

Robin, using hammers in your crafting? How fun. I will be trying this soon! Love these cards. Fun snowman card with the snowman and sign. On the second, your tree coloring and die-cutting are so cool! I always love to see what you come up with! Hugz

I really like your idea of partial embossing! The subtle snowfall is perfect on the snowman card and the greeting fits the sign perfectly! Love the fussy cutting of the tree and it really pops on the red and white!

These are both so pretty, Robin. I like how you used the sign on the first card. You colored the little tree perfectly & it really pops with the red greeting & frame.

Wonderful pair of Christmas cards, Robin! the tall snowman is so fun & I love the ribbon on the side. Your second card is terrific. I love the layout & the tree into the circle of the greeting.

These are SO cute Robin! I just love both of them! What a great snowman scene - the sign is all it needs to finish it off! Your in the box technique is wonderful and a perfect compliment to the greeting. Love the bow on the tree trunk too!

Love that super adorable snowman and his sign Robin. And that tree is colored beautifully with a great layout and sentiment.
