A nurse brings...

>> Monday, July 6, 2020

Happy Monday everyone. Trust you had a good weekend and found some time to get creative. Our company left yesterday after spending the week with us. It was tough to see them go. We had tons of fun together and made lots of special memories that I will treasure forever!

My cards today feature the new A nurse brings sentiment. I really like this new sentiment. It is so appropriate for nurse today!!

To make this first card, I started with the white CS panel, stamped the greeting in Versafine Black ink and then die cut the lattice with a SB small die of the month die from May. The dotted flowers were stamped with SU Cranberry ink and fussy cut. The leaves are from the Dogwood Branch. I stamped that image several times, colored the largest two leaves and fussy cut them. After gluing the white panel onto the cranberry card base, I added the flowers and leaves. Some black enamel dots were added to the flower centers. I really like the way this turned out. The lattice die cut really makes the card stand out, I think.

My next card was created for a Split coast Stamper's Technique challenge a couple of weeks ago. We were to use Saran Wrap, bunched up to ink up the background. I had never done this before, but will definitely be using it in the future. I really like the look it creates. I used some older SU inks to create my background, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Almost Amethyst.

The Nurse Brings sentiment was stamped with Versafine Black ink onto white CS and die cut with an older SB die and layered onto Certainly Celery CS, The background panel was die cut and layered onto the Certainly Celery CS. After attaching the sentiment panel I added some green rhinestones and a Pretty in Pink punched heart. Some Nuvo Crystal Glaze was added to the pink heart.  Don't you like that subtle background? I really do.

Thanks for stopping by today. You can check out all the new images here.

blessings,
shelia

2 impressive cards Shelia! I 'm so glad that you used the polka dot flower - feels like a long time since I've seen it in use and they go perfectly with that lattice cut out. You 2nd card is just beautiful too - wonderful colors and I love the bright pink heart
