Sympathy Cards
>> Tuesday, April 21, 2020
Hi Everyone,
My heart really goes out to those folks who have lost loved ones during these times. I can't imagine the pain of having to put someone to rest, without the company and support of family and friends. I've been keeping those close to me in my thoughts and prayers and wish you and yours health, safety and comfort too. It's in that spirit, that I share these cards today.
I kept things simple, super simple when it comes to the first card. I chose to use the first embossing folder I ever bought (an oldie, but goodie for sure!) and stamped and die cut the
Deco Deepest Sympathy for the sentiment.
The flower came from the Calla Lilly Sympathy Frame stamp, and I colored and fussy cut it out, adding a bit of glitter to it and attaching it with some dimensional foam tape.
In keeping with the flower theme, I chose to use the Circle Lily stamp, which I colored and fussy cut as well. I attached it to a die cut frame, and used the same sentiment.
After assembling the card, I added some glitter glue to finish it off.
Thank you for visiting the blog today. All of these stamps can be found at the DRS Designs store.
Wishing you and yours, peace & health.
Karin

Both of these cards are sensational! I love the design of each and the simple black and white (mostly) the embossed folders and beautiful additions to your beautiful flowers. Love the rounded bottom corners on the first and love that gorgeous die done in black on the second.
Gorgeous!
PS, my Mother in law died Saturday morning. We all expected it to happen at any moment so it was not a shock or unexpected like so many others right now but your cards are especially meaningful right now. She was a mom for me too and always so hard working and very sweet! We all loved her!! Thanks for the beautiful inspiration!
2 Beautiful sympathy cards Karin! I'm definitely partial to the first - I just love the simplicity and your fussy cut calla lilies!
Karin, these are absolutely gorgeous! The flowers are beautiful and add a sweet peace. I also like how you did the soft sponging around the sentiment on the second card - really makes it stand out. Great sympathy cards!!!! Hugz
Karin, these are such gorgeous cards & sure to bring comfort to the recipient. The Cala lilies are the perfect flower images for sympathy cards! Love these!
These are lovely, Karin! So serene & pretty. Yes, it's terrible to lose someone & not even be able to go to family members or have a service.
