Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! We had our first freeze last night. A couple of weeks late, but that darn summer just wouldn't let go this year. The colors are just now changing on the trees that haven't already lost their leaves due to the heat & lack of rain. Poor trees..it's like they decided it just wasn't worth the effort to hang on to those leaves.
So with the theme of running late, I have a Holiday/Christmas card. I used the greeting, not only because it's one of favorites (love the font!) & it's easy to split up, but because some of us just can't seem to get our Christmas cards mailed in time, so this kind of covers the whole Holiday Season. Not naming names, but we have friends & if we receive their card before mid January, we think "wow, they really got out of the starting gate this year!" Just sayin'....
My card is pretty simple & didn't take much time. I put the winter words bg into my Misti, then stamped w/ white ink & white embossed it. Then you know, put it back into the Misti & rinse, repeat as the shampoo instructions go. (Do we really NEED instructions on shampoo??) Anyway, the top white layer was die cut & I turned a double stitch rectangle on an angle & cut out the V. Die cut all the poinsettia petals, glued them together & added half of the greeting.
Here's a look at the inside w/ the rest of the greeting.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Lovely holiday card, Julie. That shade of blue is gorgeous with all the white! Beautiful poinsettia too.
What a pretty card Julie! You just have the best eye for the perfect colors and you did a beautiful job of making the white ink background really white - kudos!
