Haunted Ice Cream Shop

>> Wednesday, September 25, 2019

Hello crafty friends!

This weekend my hubby and I went on a quick trip to Northern Alabama.  We were visiting historical markers and other fun sites.  I love a good scary story so we purposely visited some local haunted places.  We were told to eat at Trowbridges Ice Cream and Sandwich Shop because they reportedly have a ghost.  We didn't see a ghost, but they had some really good food at some really good prices (under $4 for a chicken salad sandwich and it tasted like my Grandmothers - yum, yum).

I chronicled our visit on an 8.5 by 11 page that I dipped in yellow, orange, and black ink (black for the ghost, and orange and yellow for the orange pineapple ice cream they are famous for).  I added a DRS Designs Grim Reaper to signify the spooky part of the restaurant.

Here is Grim and the menu up close.  I added some Stickles to his sickle (boy does that sound weird - lol).
Thanks for visiting!

Hugz,

Nancy

Quite the adventure Nancy! I'm sorry to hear you didn't run into any ghosts :(
You did a great job on your scrapbook page - lots of color, yet it still looks easy to read (an important factor in my book!) The Grim Reaper adds just the right touch of spooky to your page and he's perfect sticking out from behind the photos! Well done!

How fun is this, Nancy! I LOVE a good ghost story & what fun to go to some haunted places. I used to stay up late on Sat nites when I was a kid..just so I could watch the late scary movie on tv. I usually didn't last long, but I love scary movies.

Super cute page Nancy, love the bricks and reaper too!
Your trip sounds like fun! We have a few ghost towns mostly in gold or silver mining areas. It is fun to go and even imagine we've seen a ghost or 2 Heehee!
