Jeepers Creepers in a Jar

>> Thursday, August 29, 2019

Good morning!
Before you ask where I got the jar, I drew it up because I don't have one
(well I have a small die but not big enough for a scene).  This jar is
about 4 3/4" tall.  My card is 4 3/4 X 6 1/4"
the background panel is just some alcohol ink on glossy paper.
The web is from Memory Box, the dripping blood by I.O.

I masked around the jar (because I didn't intend to cut it out at first, LOL!) Then I die cut a circle out of a post-it for a moon mask and reverse mask.  I used the reverse mask first and sponged the moon a light gray, dabbed on some pigment white and heat set then spritz it with White Shimmer Spray which is what gave it the texture and shimmer.  I heat set it again then masked the moon and started stamping my characters onto post-its, fussy cut them then stamped inside the jar with the creep first
masked him then stamped the sign.  I kept the mask on the creeper, put the sign mask on then stamped the guy, I masked him also and stamped the gal.  I masked her while keeping the other mask on and stamped the fence.  Next I sponged the sky and ground using purple, blue, pink and orange, green and brown for the ground.
I took all the mask off and colored all my images.
Because of the color on the moon I had to stamp and color the gal's head on a separate piece of white and fussy cut it then glue it over my gal once she was colored.
I colored the jar stopper with earth tones.  I decided to cut out the jar because the white background just didn't look right.  I found a previously made background panel and cut it to fit.
I die cut the web out of silver and glued it under the jar, attached a ribbon and the dripping blood to the jar top then glued it to the background panel.
Finally, I added dimensional Nuvo Crystal Glaze on their eyes. After it was dry I added a bit of glitter to the eye centers.

This next card uses some Tim Holtz dies from Sizzix
I stamped and embossed the ghost with white on vellum and
colored their socks with Tombow markers.
I sponged the sky and grounds with Oxide Distress inks and
the die cuts are done with Black Magic cards stock then sanded.
I made an extra ground then stamped my graveyard on it
and sponged the ground to match.
Thanks for visiting today!

Amazing, amazing, amazing, Robin. Some of the coolest Halloween cards I have ever seen. The translucent ghosts are brilliant and the skies are so beautiful. Wow. Hugz

You have totally outdone yourself Robin! Your jar scene is amazing (especially that giant silvery moon and their shiny eyes!) and I just can't say enough about the rainbow sky and velum ghosts on the 2nd card!

Awesome Halloween cards, Robin. Your mason jar scene is amazing with all those details. I really like the silvery moon. The ghost family stamped on vellum looks fantastic! I’m wondering why I never thought of that!
