Gold Feathers

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Tomorrow you're going to start seeing some wonderful new images so today I'm sharing one last look at the almost new images. When I first saw these feathers, I kept thinking of some I saw in a craft store a couple of years back. They were white & had metallic gold tips. I thought they were really pretty so I set out to see if I could recreate that look.
For the first couple I did, I stamped, gold embossed, fussy cut then swiped the gold ink across the tips & dipped them in the gold powder. They didn't look quite right to me. So on the rest, after I cut them out, I cut little notches in the tips before inking & dipping. I think that made all the difference. On the white bg, I gold embossed the greeting & used the Splatter Bg just in some areas. I had these mirror gold square frames just sitting around so I used them to add a little interest.

Here's the inside...everything was gold embossed, as well, & I added a couple of unused feathers from the front.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
