Sympathy Branch

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Are you having a wild March like we are? Rainy and warmer one day, cold & blustery the next. I'm using warmer as a relative term..that means we reached about 60 degrees. Now we're back to cold & blustery. Yep..wild as a March hare. Speaking of which, the bunnies in our yard are back. I guess they live here, but we only see them when they come out to eat dandelions or whatever else they find in the yard. But from seeing them last year, I know they love dandelions & clover.

For today's card, I used the new Open & Silhouette Leaf Branches. And I was playing around w/ some alcohol inks & alcohol lift ink. I created the alcohol ink bg you see in the center of the oval & between the split top panel. Then I stamped the branches w/ the lift ink onto this bg & then onto the top of the white panel. The ghost image in the oval center is what's left after stamping w/ the lift ink. A little different & kinda cool looking, I think. I did the alcohol ink bg & stamping w/ the lift ink on Yupo paper & I also tried it on glossy c/s. It works on both.
Here's a look at the inside.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Some fancy stamping and techniques on this, Julie. I love how you used these images and I want to try this for sure. Great colors and sketch! Beautiful sympathy card - I really like the inside too. Hugz

What a beautiful sympathy card Julie! Excellent technique and I love that you were able to use what you removed from the background and the very cool ghost effect!

Wow, what a gorgeous sympathy card! The colors are just gorgeous against the bright white and the die cut in the center shows off that tree perfectly!
