Sweet Bird in a Wreath

>> Wednesday, March 13, 2019

I hope you have been checking out the bird themed images at DRS - we are having so much fun with them!

Today I have a wreath I made using four of the new images:

Feathers 3 in 1
Open Leaf Branch
Thinking of You, Tweetie!
Silly Bird

I did an Ink, Spray, Smash page and then stamped all the feathers.  I fussy cut them and then sponged the edges.  To make the wreath, I arranged the feathers on the circular base, added some Stickles to the feather centers, pushed in a few Tim Holtz Holiday Greens die cuts in kraft, and then added the wreath to my embossed base.  I then splattered the whole thing with some water colors in the same colors as my inks.  It needed something more so I added some of the new branches, a sponged Silly Bird, and the sentiment.

Hope your week is going well!  Spring is just around the corner!

Hugz,

Nancy

How spectacular! I mean, of COURSE you would figure out how to make an amazing wreath, but I'm still totally surprised and blown away by how awesome and creative this is!!! I love the colors and the touches of gold...And no one does perfect splatters like you :) I'll take one ounce of your fussy cutting patience, to go please ;)

Absolutely beautiful Nancy! Your colors are amazing and I love the branches combined with the feathers and it's all sitting on one of my favorite embossing folders! This might be my favorite wreath yet!
