Tropical Retirement

>> Thursday, July 5, 2018

Good morning!

This is another fun pop-up card using DRS stamps:
along with Karen Burniston dies (from Pop-up set).
I was hoping to make it look like this might be an island because

as you open the card it is most definitely an island scene!
The inside pops open with palm trees.

The congratulations die is from ODBD.
I used a felt to make the coconuts (suggested by Karen B. on her instruction video) to make them look a bit fuzzy/hairy.

The ground is splattered to give the sand a bit of dimension/texture.

My next card is a take on a SCS sketch and color challenge.

I used a Lawn Fawn stitched die for the base, the squares and rectangle
are double stitched dies from ODBD.  My scenes are stamped
and colored directly onto the base with a bit of
help from masking and stamp aligning and then the frame was made
with the dies and popped up over the scenes.
I added 3 teal matte enamel dots for embellishments.

Thank you for dropping by to visit today!
Go be crafty!

Robin! That retirement card is absolutely wonderful. I love the happy shark in the waves but those pop up palm trees are so fun! Wow. Your second card is so fun too - great colors, framing, and mixture of images. These are both total wow cards for sure. Hugz
