Celebrate Easter + Dance Stage

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Can you believe it's already the last day of March? This month just flew by! (I wish I could say the same for the pollen.) And now Easter is just around the corner. For my Easter card, I paired this beautiful new Celebrate Easter greeting w/ the Lily Cross & the Stained Glass Oval. I know the rectangle version would have worked better, but the oval is the one  I have 😃 I kept the colors neutral & the layout clean & simple to let the images shine. First I put the cross into my Misti & stamped it w/ desert sand. After lightly coloring it w/ Copics, I overstamped it w/ metallic gold ink then heat embossed it w/ gold powder. I did the same to the frame, coloring in just a few areas.
In real life, the gold embossing is really pretty. You can see it a bit in the pic below.
Here's a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
And....apparently I'm not done with this cutie Ballerina from last month. For Monday's challenges on Splitcoast, one was to do "no line" coloring & the other was things with wings. I'll tell you...this little missy was a toughie to no line. She's so little it was hard to keep her facial details.

I no lined her by using desert sand ink, colored her, then masked her & stamped the butterfly w/ lt blue & colored it. I was so impressed by Nancy's card HERE & the floor she drew that I added a drawn floor. The curtains were dry embossed, cut out & added on top. I've had this folder for quite awhile & had forgotten about it until I made this. Made for each other, I'd say.
Here's a look at the inside. I used the folder again on the lower inside. Below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Your little butterfly dancer is amazing!! I love the stage and curtains and I'm sooo envious of your stage curtain embossing!! Such a good idea with the butterfly wings too!!! Makes your little girl's dance costume is adorable!

Julie, these are amazing. I love how you used the stained glass to make a wonderful frame and kept the first card monochrome - it is stunning. Your butterfly and curtains on the dance card are some super awesome ideas. Wow - these are two wonderful cards. Hugz

Wow Julie, both of these are fabulous cards! Love your sweet butterfly ballerina! The Easter card is my fav. I made some cards using this image & greeting last week, but mine did not turn out as gorgeous as yours! Wow, love the soft colors with the gold embossing. Gorgeous!
