Skip Winter?

Happy Friday!
I hope your first week of 2017 has gone well! Maybe it's because I live in the south, but I do NOT want to skip winter. There are several new sweaters in my closet I haven't even had a chance to wear. Since we definitely did not have a fall this year, I at least want winter. And as luck would have it, we may have some snow tonight/tomorrow. I can say that happily, because around here, it doesn't last long. If I had to deal w/ it for months on end, I'd probably change my tune.

So, I'm guessing the people attached to these mittens live in some far northern climes. Sheesh! I don't even own any mittens. I did just finish knitting myself a pair of fingerless mitts.. I figure that's about all I'm going to need. My hands are almost always cold, but I need to use my fingers. Hence the fingerless part. To make my snowy card, I stamped the mitten part of the im
age once fully, then partially on each side, masking off the the greeting part.
After coloring, I die cut the top edge (to resemble a hill of snow) & added the lt blue bg on which I stamped the Snow Bg w/ blue ink. I added a lime green frame to help give it some interest, added some snowflakes & a little stickles for sparkle.

Here's a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Beautiful, Julie. I was complaining about not having any snow here in Alabama but now that it looks like it will mainly be sleet and ice today, I am remembering the hours and hours it took to get home the last time that happened and I am wishing it would go away. So I guess I am with all with these poor snow covered people on your card! Love the way you did the hill and your snowflakes are super pretty. Hugz

I love that curvy border and the blue and white framing is so refreshing! Love the little snowflake on it! Your field of snow with hands help up is so cute as well! I'm thinking that it is a group of kids snowboarding after a huge snow and they jumped of a rock while going downhill and submarine'd into deep snow below!!!
Such a cute card!
