Cold Weather Friends

>> Saturday, January 7, 2017

Good morning!
I love these new images and sentiments!

It's so cold even the snowmen went inside!! LOL! It just cracked me up when I thought about snowmen inside by a cozy fire because it was just too stinkin cold outside!!
I used DRS 1137G Baby It's Cold Outside, 187H Snow Background, 1129H Stretch the Round Button Snowman and 383G Simply Snowman to make this card.  T background was stamped with VersaMark then embossed with white detail powder; then I sponged several Distress inks over it ending with a purple around the outsides.  I stamped Baby it's cold with Black VersaFine.
Next I stamped my snowmen with Memento Black and used my Copic markers to color them, cut them out  and put them back together inside my window frame (My Favorite Things Stitched Arch), of course I had to do surgery on them so they looked like they were inside and had their arms down looking out! (in fact, Stretch has an arm that is not really his, LOL, it is an extra I stamped from Simply Snowman!).
I used corrugated white stock to make my house.  Then inside is meant to look cozy warm from a fires glow.
The snow ground is made just by tearing a piece of white  card stock.

Ok so these skates belong to an ice princess!!  She had to have purple, nothing else would do!!
First I stamped my plaid background with purple and aqua.  I made my stitched frame using ODBD Stitched Rectangles and popped it up.
T stamped my greeting and skates on separate pieces of white and die cut each, Skates using the Arch again and the greeting using a stitched rounded rectangle (My Favorite Things). They are also popped up.  I added the ribbon across the inside before adding the frame of course and then added the bow at the end on top.  The skates die cut and the greeting die cut are both sponged with Jade Brilliance.

These cards are fun to send to friends and relatives just to send them a note!!!
Our weather in the Sierra Mountains goes back and forth between really cold and almost spring like!!
I like the snow and cold weather so I wish it would stay winter longer!!
I know most people don't but our summers are so hot and we have had soooo many fires in the last few years because of the drought in California!
I really must move where it NEVER gets as hot!   Someday!
Thanks for visiting today!

Robin, these cards are both so pretty! Love the snowmen peeking out of that frame in the first one. And your plaid is the perfect background for your second card. I can never get my plaid images stamped perfectly diagonal like you do.

These are both fabulous, Robin! Don't you love that arch die? Love the paneling behind the snowman & those ice skates are one on my fave images. They both look so frosty in these colors.

Beautiful cards Robin!! Love both of them!
The snowmen looking out of the arch is adorable - and your snowflake background is incredible with the center of light blue! Love the plaid and the purple skates too - the purple frame really makes it POP!
