Hooked Mermaid

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well & you have something fun planned for the July 4th weekend! Today I'm using the pretty little Mermaid & 4 in 1 Seashells. After coloring & fussy cutting her, I had an idea to pair her w/ the die cut seahorse & the Hooked on You greeting. I wanted everything shimmery & sparkly, like I imagine an underwater world would be. So I dug thru my stash & found some shimmery pearl card stock in this pretty lt. teal color. I die cut the seahorse & waves & added a some blue w/ a Copic.
You can see the shimmer in picture below. I also stamped the Versatile Bg with white Stazon inside the circle opening. Then I wanted to stamp the seashells on the same card stock but I had a lot of trouble finding an ink that would stick in the color I wanted. Nothing seemed to work..Memento, Brilliance, Distress ink..nothing would stick & the only colors of Stazon I have are black & white. Finally got out my trusty old Ancient Page & it worked! Yay! After stamping, I fussy cut the shells then I added some stickles to most everything.

The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great 4th of July weekend! And don't forget to check out the DRS Thursday Challenge...Splatters (any kind, stamped, sprayed, splashed...we're easy)!

Beautifully done! Love how you've stamped the shells in dark blue and colored them in turquoise. The sparkle is perfect too!
