Last Summer Dance

>> Saturday, August 17, 2013

I just had to do one more beach card before the end of summer.

I stamped the DRS Designs image of "Hula Pig" onto a piece of Hammermill Digital Color Copy Cover with Marvy black dye.  I colored her with Copic markers.  I proceeded to draw and color with Copic markers the ocean, sand and sky.  The white highlights on the water were made with a Uniball Signo White pen.  The foam at the edge of the water is Polar White Flower Soft.

I stamped the DRS Designs image of "Palm Tree" onto a scrap of Hammermill Digital Color Copy Cover with Marvy black dye.  I colored it with Copics as well and cut with my detailed scissors.  I added it onto the beach scene.  Shadows were drawn with Copic markers, as well as the three birds in the distance.  I framed the scene with black cardstock.

On a cream sheet of card stock,  I randomly stamped "Splatter Background" from DRS Designs with Memento Desert Sand.  I also did some sponging along the edges.  I framed the entire note card with black card stock.

Saturday smiles,
Kecia

So cute, Kecia! Your beach looks wonderful and I love the color of your water. The added flower soft "foam" is a great touch.

What an awesome card to see today as I pack up to leave my beach vacation - although I will admit I didn't see any hula pigs as cute as this one!

Love the flower soft idea too!
