Good, Better and Best!

Have you ever challenged yourself to do a "step it up" challenge with your creations? Start simple and "step It up" with each card but still maintaining the basic idea of the original? Well, that is what I did and lucky you, I'm going to share it with you today!!!

This Carl Caterpillar image is one of my favorites by DRS and I thought it was fitting to use him since Spring is in the air!!!

Here is my first - plain Jane, limited supplies card...

I thought the belated birthday sentiment was appropriate since the caterpillar is probably pretty slow even if he does have all those legs!!! I stamped the fly-away butterfly trail in versamark ink.

Here is the second version...

A simple addition of some black panels gives it the extra pop it needs to catch your eye.

And the final version...

I added some ribbon and a bow. I also stamped some grass on the focal panel and sponged on some green ink, to fill in the grass and sponged blue for the sky. Each version has google eyes...I just couldn't resist!

And here are all three together...

I hope this gives you some inspiration to "step up" some of your own creations!

Thanks for checking in...you have a few hours left to participate in the no layer challenge...the winner of the blog candy will be chosen at 8pm tonight (4/5/09).

Be sure to check back tomorrow for a new challenge AND tomorrow night will be the announcement of the TWO blog candy winners from our very first blog hop!!

See you soon...
