Pumpkin Pie Memories

>> Wednesday, August 30, 2023

Hello crafty friends.

The minute someone says Fall is coming, I think of pumpkin pie.  My Dad made the best pumpkin pie with a middle layer of cheesecake.  I wish I had that recipe!  No cheesecake layer in this pumpkin pie, but it still makes me hungry!

To make this, I stamped the Pie and Coffee image three times. The base layer also has Thanksgiving - Thinking of You. I watercolored all three images and cut out the pie and coffee in detail on one layer and just the pie on the other.  I think sponged the edges of everything with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Vintage Photo.  The layers were then stacked with foam tape.

To make the wood look base, I scored some white cardstock and then drug three different Distress Oxide ink pads directly across the paper (Vintage Photo, Black Soot, and Lost Shadow).

I think I am going to make it my mission to try and recreate my Dad's pie this year.

Bring on Fall!

Hugz,

Nancy

Great layering with this image. Love the amazing wood grain you created too. Oh I have never tried pumpkin pie with cheese cake layer. I have made one with a pudding layer and it is really good. I might need to research one with cheese cake layer. YUM!
