Jesus is the Heart

Good morning crafty friends and Happy Christmas!

I used some background paper I made previously for this card.  I used Three Wisemen Peace without the Peace on Earth because I also wanted to use Jesus Is The Heart of Christmas, I used them in the Misti so that I could stamp them several times.  I left the stamp in, die cut a heart, sponged it then glued it over the word heart and placed the panel back in the Misti and restamped the sentiment to stamp heart on the heart.

I glittered the star with Diamond Stickles, let dry then I die cut the card frame from another previously made background.

I mounted the wisemen panel on black then added the frame popped up.

This next card popped in my head while I was at church.
On the platform was a big BEHOLD and all the sermons this month of December are base around that word...totally cool!
So, I found some large letter dies (these are from Close 2 My Heart) then I found the Nativity Ornament
and Pine Bough to go with the word.
I wanted to keep it fairly simple, so I just embossed the images in gold and did the behold word in gold.
I decided to do bold and back it with black, not sure it was a good choice, I've thought of other things since but it was done so I left it.
The only coloring I did was to fill in the ornament hanger with gold glitter pen.

Thanks for visiting today!
Robin
Luke 2:7-11

And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.[c]

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Beautiful post. Love it!

Love your cards too - I am coming back to study them more because they are so wonderful. The colors on the first are really special and that second card blows me away. Wow. Hugz

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the colors on the first card and love that you changed the sentiment and stamped the word heart on the masked heart. That is brilliant.

I also love the gold and black on the second card. Very striking and elegant. Two absolutely gorgeous cards.

I absolutely LOVE your cards, Robin. Thanks for sharing this post and reminding us all that JESUS is the reason for CHRISTmas. The greatest gift EVER given was the gift of Himself....our Savior, Redeemer and JOY. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration. I love this silhouette stamp. That's now on my Christmas wish list.
Blessings,
