Thank You to Our Heroes

>> Monday, September 5, 2022

With it being labor day in the United States I thought I would share a few patriotic cards.

My first card is a sympathy card.

For this card:

    For the inside:

I used only half of the Silhouette Soldiers - 1032M on the right side of the card and stamped the You Are My Hero Greeting - 1085C in red to keep the patriotic colors.

I have a second card to share today.

  • For the base layer on this card I used a stars and stripes stencil and added red and blue to the stencil.
  • Next, the Silhouette Soldiers - 1032M was stamped over the stencil in black.
  • For the sentiment I used just a portion of the Season of Thanks Oval - 828K and white heat embossed it on black card stock popping it up on dimensionals.
  • The card was finished with a few scattered gems.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my cards this week.

These cards are gorgeous! I love the backgrounds you created for both of them.
The white embossing and dimensional Navy seal look so impressive! The stenciled stars and stripes on the second are a great backdrop for the soldiers! Great post!

Beautiful Lisa, I especially love the third one but each is so impressive! The first makes me sad but such a great card for that hero who served (like my dad in WWII) Later died because of a lung thing he probably got working on Submarines and such!
Just beautiful each and every one!

I'm always a sucker for a patriotic card and these are incredible! Both of your backgrounds are so vibrant that they just jump right off the card. I love how you used the silhouette soldiers on both, but really made them so different by only stamping the one inside the first card (he fits so perfect there too!)
