Birthday Blessings

 Good morning friends!!

I did some sprayed ink backgrounds for these cards today, mostly in pinks, purples and blues. With this I added a die cut green leafy mini slimline background with tiny flowers attached.  My DRS stamps for this card are the new Filigree Butterfly and new Birthday Blessings.  The butterflies were stamped and embossed with clear then sponged with color.  I found that the Distress Inks my Tim Holtz work best as they completely cleaned off the embossing as desired but I tried a bit of Archival on parts and unfortunately it stained the clear embossing.  It still turned out pretty though!

What do you do with left over background pieces?  Well you make another card of course!!
The card background is another sprayed ink background but the strip is what was left over from my first card background paper.

I did the top card butterflies and this one all at the same time, same piece of paper then fussy cut each one.  I used a lavender rhinestone for the butterfly heads.

Thanks for visiting today!

Oh my gosh Robin I love the colors and love the layers. That leafy die cut with the flowers works perfect for the butterflies. And I love that you used the left over piece from the first card to get a second card. Great way to have 2 for one and create two gorgeous cards.

How lovely these are! I really like the die cut and the shape of your first card, it shows off the butterflies so well. The colors are just gorgeous on the second and the sentiment pairs perfectly!
