Birthday Cards

>> Monday, April 18, 2022

  • For a quick fun birthday card, I thought the SINGLE BIRTHDAY CANDLE - 258B and stamped it several times across the panel. I then colored it in a rainbow of colors using copic markers.
  • Next, I white heat embossed the BIRTHDAY MULTI GREETING - 219P sentiment on black card stock and popped it up on dimensionals over the colorful candles.

For my second card today, I used the new Filigree Butterfly 021G. This card was very quick to make.

  • The new Filigree Butterfly was stamped on white then cut out using a heart die cut and popped up on dimensionals.
  • Next, I heat embossed the new Special Birthday Wishes Greeting 018E in white on the black card base.
  • I finished the card off with some sequins.
I have a third card for you today. I am on a roll with birthday cards and just had to make this one.
  • I created this background called Joseph's Coat. You apply the ink colors you want on the card base. For this card I used teal, purple and pink distress ink.
  • Next, you stamp the images you want using Versamark ink then clear heat emboss the images. The images used:
  • Once all the images are clear heat embossed over the panel, I applied black distress ink over the panel. I then took a paper towel to the tops of the butterflies and the color shows through from the base.
  • The panel was die cut with a stitched rectangle die cut and layered over a black mat then the white card stock base.
  • The card was finished off with BIRTHDAY MULTI GREETING - 219P on a die cut banner and sprinkled some sequins.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my cards this week. I hope you have a wonderful week.

These birthday cards are faboulous! I love the black base for all those colorful candles on the first. The CAS design of the second is beautiful with the colored sequins perfectly placed. And what a WOW factor that embossing technique creates! Simply stunning :)
