A Friendly Note...

This card was inspired by my nephew. He is away at boot camp for the Navy, and we are all sending him happy mail.
I used this cute HAPPY MAIL - 429G stamp for the focal. Rather than using the entire stamp, I masked out the Thinking of You sentiment from the stamp and used just the image. I colored the scene with copics and then sponged some clouds.
I then die cut the banner and used a paper emboss folder for the base. I then stamped the FRIENDLY NOTE GREETING - 790D stamping that on one of the embossed lines of the paper.
I finished the card with the little yellow butterfly.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my card this week.

This is so cute Lisa and I love the way it's colored up! I adore your cloudy sky, what a great job plus the scores are so perfect looking! Beautiful!
What a wonderful mini-scene you've created Lisa! Your banner shape is PERFECT as is the embossed "paper" background! You must be so proud of your nephew for joining the Navy - but I'm guessing a bit nervous at the same time. I hope he enjoys his happy mail!
Super adorable scene, Lisa. Great embossing and layout! Hugz
Very cute card using one of my favorite stamp images! Love that dry embossing on this so much!
