Birthday Sharks and Cake

>> Wednesday, May 26, 2021

 Hello crafty friends,

Hope your week is going well!

We have a lot of birthdays in our family in this summer so I am getting a jump on the birthday cards. The new Push-Pin image adds a fun element to any card without a lot of work.  I used it on this fun shark card along with a sticky note.

To make the background, I just drug my ink pad across the paper.  Then I stamped the Killer Birthday Greeting and the new Push-pin on a sticky note.  Next, I stamped three Happy Sharks (I did one in reverse) and water colored them.

I thought it would be fun to pop up the push-pin so I did another birthday card and popped it up.  I also added in a Girly Swirly Birthday Cake and a portion of the new Friendly Note Greeting.

I water colored the cake, splattered the left over paint on the background and added in a lot of Stickles for fun.  Did you notice the Stickles on the sharks' teeth on my first card?  I wanted them to look sharp and fun.

Heres to a great rest of your week!

These are adorable cards, Nancy! Your sharks have such character, especially with those stickled teeth. I love how you did the greeting on a post it note. So clever!
The cake card just screams fun! Terrific colors and a fun speckled background. Thanks for a fun post!

These are terrific, Nancy! Your shark card is so creative w/ all the sharks coming & going. And your bday cake looks so festive w/ the splatter bg & bits of sparkle.

Nancy my niece would love that shark card. Great card with the new post it note and pin addition. Super clever and I absolutely love the watery background too.

The birthday cake and pin work so well together too. I am always in awe of your cards and talents.
