Hello crafty friends.
I had some serious fun making these two cards in my favorite style - Mixed Media.
The first card was inspired by THIS card done by Gayle Blair. I loved her orange sky and snow and decided to do an orange sky and plenty of snow. I sponged on the orange first and then stamped the Snow Tree with Fence. I die cut it into a circle and then piled on and flecked some Snowtex.
I stamped the
Snow Background in orange and then black to make the background and added the new
It's Freezin' Season Greeting. Seems very appropriate for everyone having snow right now. Here in Alabama we are having some warmer weather and wishing for snow.
On my next card, I wanted to use the new Lucky in Love stamp with an altered playing card.
The Ace of Hearts playing card was coated in Gesso, sponged ,and then the
Script Font Background stamp was stamped on with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I added in some Tim Holtz paper dolls and fussy cut the new
Lucky in Love stamp.
The background is done with watercolors, Distress Crackle Medium through a circle stencil, some sponging and then a little stamp of the Script Font Background stamp.
They look like they are happy and going to be lucky together. I hope they were!
Hope you are having a good week and feel inspired to go get inky and play.

I really like the color combo on your snowy card. Never would have thought to use that combo, but it works beautifully! I like that added snow too. Beautiful background on your second card. You create the best backgrounds, Nancy. Wish I lived closer so you could give me lessons!
I love your freezin season card Nancy. Such a creative card using the sepia color scheme. Love the chunky snow splatters too.
Your second card is so cute and a perfect sentiment!
I love the neutral color combo of the first card! The texture of the snow looks amazing and I love the scene and sentiment combo! And your vintage card is so creative and really cool! I love the subtle script and the playing card!
Nancy the scow scene is incredible in your first card. I love the colors and love the added texture. The vintage feel to your second card is wonderful. Two fantastic cards this week.
