Snow! Snow! Snow!

>> Wednesday, December 23, 2020

 Hello crafty friends,

Many places are actually going to get a white Christmas this year.  They thought we may get it here in Alabama, but now our chances have turned to rain chances only.  Since, I won't be having any snow, I made two cards with plenty of it!

This first one started life out as a snowy bird scene, but the bird did not come out as planned so the Baby It's Cold Outside Greeting covered it up nicely.

The main panel is painted with Arteza Gouche paints and sprinkled with water and Snowtex.  I also used this year's Tiny Seasons Greetings as a little banner on the inside panel.

After that snowy adventure, I decided to make a card with even more snow - one where the people are snowed in their new home and all cozy and warm.

As you can see, they live on the edge of a forest full of giant trees (did my trees first and didn't get the ratio right - lol).  I painted the trees and the house(s) with gouache paints. Then I layered two of the Christmas Village Cabins to make the house look a bit bigger, and finished it off with a ton of Snowtex and the new New Home Greeting.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday this year - grab every happy moment possible.

Hugz,

Nancy

Great snow cards, Nancy! I really like what you did to the cabin in the second card, li looks so big & roomy! I wouldn’t mind being in that cabin all snowed in & warm by the fire! Beautiful cards! Have a Merry Christmas!

These are beautiful, Nancy! They sum up our Christmas here in N. GA. It was a white Christmas here & soooo cold! It was 8 degrees Christmas night. the snow finally melted about 4 days later, but it was pretty while it lasted. I love the snow texture & trees on your second card.
