Halloween Is Coming Fast!

>> Wednesday, October 7, 2020

Hello crafty friends.

Halloween is coming super fast.  Usually, I have a better feel for it because all the stores have had Halloween items for months, but I haven't been going to many stores.  I did buy a ghost magazine at the grocery store the other day.  I put it in my buggy and put my receipt in the same bag.  When I got home, I didn't have the magazine...very spooky!

Today I have a little spooky scene to share - inspired by my disappearing ghost magazine.

The base layer was embossed, then the words were watercolored but I didn't like it so I sponged all over it.  Then I made the top layer by stamping the trees from the new Mountain and Treeline 2-in-1 Scene, then two rows of the Silhouette Graveyard and the Batty Happy Halloween.  I sponged it all heavily with yellow, orange and purple and then distressed the paper a bit more.  I added the Leaning Ghost for more spookiness.

I hope your week is going well!

Hugz,

Nancy

Ooh super Nancy! Love the embossed distressed bg piece and your grave yard is perfect with all the rows and the trees in the back of it!!
Even the ghost looks very old! He's been around for awhile eh, 1800's I'd guess! Heehee! Love it!

This is just too fun Nancy! LOVE those trees in the background and the mean looking ghost in the foreground! He looks like he's not too happy being disturbed - even on Halloween :)
