Trick or Treat & Thanks

>> Tuesday, August 25, 2020

Hi Everyone,

While I'm not sure if Halloween will look the same this year, I'm hoping communities come up with some creative options for kids to dress up and celebrate safely.

In that spirit of hopefulness, I made a card using the Ghost Family Portrait (which look like trick or treaters to me!) and the Small Trick or Treat Greeting. I simply die cut and matted both, and layered everything onto a background inspired by the colors candy corn itself.

Inside I stamped and colored up the Candy Corn Border and matched it with the Favorite Veggie Candy Corn Greeting.

I needed a thank you for a friend, so I stamped, embossed and fussy cut the Polka Dot Flower, adding a gem to the center.  I die cut the word thanks in green, and attached it in place of the stem.  I framed it out and glued it onto an embossed background.  Super easy!

After I was done, I happened to notice that it actually looks cute in the horizontal direction too.

You can check out all of the newest Halloween stamps (and flower stamps too) over at DRS Designs!

Have a happy day :)

Great cards, Karin. You know, If everyone was a ghost at Halloween, that would be a great mask and follow the rules! Love the candy corn colors and theme along with the ghosts. That flower idea is brilliant and looks great too. Hugz

Love your ghost family in that die cut, so cute and it goes so perfectly with the new Trick or Treat too! The inside is really cute too!
I think your second card is perfect in the horizontal, aren't you lucky!! I don't think you can find many card that can go either way!

So, so cute Karin! I just love that ghost family portrait and I love that you've turned them into a family of trick or treaters!
I was a bit confused on your flower card for a second... the new interface has been giving me a few fits and I thought you were having a problem getting the card posted correctly :) THEN I realized it was the stem and I was like "That's so cute!" But in the end, you're right...it could go either way and it just looks good!

How cute, Karin! Your little ghosties look all ready for Halloween. Love the layout & colors. Your flower w/ the greeting for a stem is such a cool idea. And I love that polka dot flowers. The framing is so sharp & clean on this.
