True Ability

>> Tuesday, June 9, 2020

Hi Everyone,

I hope you're enjoying seeing all of the cards made using these new stamps that have recently been released.  There are lots of great new images that will round out your stamp collection.  One of my favorite compliments from card recipients is, "Wow!  You have stamps for everything!" I'm not at the everything level yet, but I'm always trying to get there.  As we all happily know, it's an unending quest ;)

For my first card, I stamped, colored and die cut the Wheelchair Buddies (W1060H) image and paired it up with the True Ability Greeting (W1064E).  I attached them onto an embossed background of gears, which I thought was good for a masculine card.

I made the strip of matching paper using the Easy Dot and Splatter Background stamps, along with a bit of sponging.

If you have ever been in need, you will agree that medical professionals are heroes, and I'm so glad to have these new stamps to celebrate them!

I stamped, colored and fussy cut the Medical Bag (W1083G) and attached it to some die cut circles.  I stamped the You are my Hero Greeting (W1085C) at the bottom of the background paper, which I was planning on embossing with the circles, but it seemed a bit too plain.  So I created a heartbeat line using my ruler and red pen, and then embossed on top of both.

To finish it, I stamped and fussy cut 3 Bandages and added a few punched hearts to tie the medical and gratitude theme together.

Happy stamping...

Karin, some very cool stamping and designing here. Love your embossed backgrounds and special touches like the splatter background, the band-aids with hearts, and hand-drawn heart beat line. So well done and so supportive of these great new stamps. So fun to see what we all come up with. Many hugz

Wonderful cards Karin! I love the pastel coloring and splatter strip on the wheelchair buddies card.
Love the layout of the Hero card - great idea making the hand drawn heartbeat - it's really gotten me thinking about a new image :) Adding the hearts to the band aids is just perfect!
