Recycling and Encouragement
>> Wednesday, June 17, 2020
Hello crafty friends.
I have ordered a bunch of things since we have had this whole C-19 situation. I even ordered all the things to re-stain some window trim in my kitchen - you can order almost anything online. The boxes pile up. Hubby loves to burn them, but I like to recycle them on cards - it is often a race to see who can get to the box first - lol.
For my card, I only tore off pat of the backing on the box piece.. I did a layer of white paint and then followed it up with some Arteza Gouache Colors for the sky and grass.. I paintted this new Guide Dog Assisted Woman with the Gouache Colors as well. For the sentiment, I used the new True Ability Greeting.
For this pretty Psalms BAJ page, I used the Seaside Dock, Every Day A Miracle Greeting, and Sea Grass.
I stenciled in a background ribbing lightly with some aqua ink and then I did some faux stitching on the left side.
Hope you week is going well!
Hugz,
Nancy

I love that the gal on your card was made with your friend in mind! What a fabulous polka dotted top you gave her! Super journaling too!
Nancy, these are both beautiful & encouraging! Love that you painted the image to look like your friend. What an amazing tribute! Your Bible journaling page is beautiful too. Wonder what miracle today will bring!
Wow Nancy, I love that card with the paint on the corrugated stock! That looks really good. I have sort of forgotten about doing that for a long time, I love it! I love it with the guide dog stamp, looks perfect!
Your journal page looks beautiful, love the soft bg stenciling and stamps used for this one!
And you make boxes look so terrific, Nancy! They never look like when they come to the house. Your bg using it is wonderful & I love the colors & textures. Your BAJ pg is lovely!
