Beehive Birthday

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Still raining here...we've already rec'd an amount equal to our yearly average & it's only the first few days of March! I saw a parade of earth worms on our driveway. I think they were trying to save themselves from the flooded yard.
For my card today, I thought I'd use these cute bees & hive for a birthday card. Sometimes I have a background that by itself, doesn't really do much for me but when I put it behind a die cut or stamp an image on it, it looks much better. This is one of those. It was made w/ acrylic paint & a gold shimmer paint. I used it behind the honeycomb die cut & also for the hive. Then I only had to color the branch & bees.
On the little bee near the honeycomb, I stamped him on a blank piece of rubber (using my Misti) then onto a piece of white to get the reverse image.
Here's the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
Supplies:
paper: Staples 110# white
ink: Memento tuxedo black (Kaleidacolor tomato vine used on inside)

What an adorable birthday card Julie! I love the background!! Just goes to show that everything has a purpose ;) The extra bee took a bit of work, but is totally worth it!!
