Red Christmas Star

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! How can it be November all ready? I guess the theme this week is "be careful what you wish for", lol. Last week I mentioned how dry it's been around here. Say no more..we've been inundated w/ rain since then. I mean literally buckets of the stuff. It appears not one, but two tropical storm remnants from the Gulf somehow drew a bead on us & the skies opened up. The barely trickling creek behind us is now full & looks like white water rapids.
My card is pretty simple & quick. I noticed that I had a star die that framed this lacy star image perfectly. So I die cut the star out of the red & heat embossed the star image onto the white behind it. I used some red ink & a red tinsel embossing powder. So sparkly! You can see it a bit better in the pic below. I embossed just part of the curl from the snowflake scroll w/ sparkly silver powder as well as the greeting.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

I love the simplicity of this beautiful card Julie! My favorite part is that you turned the top of the snowflake scroll into the PERFECT ornament hanger - Genius!!!
Your card is so beautiful and elegant!! I love the silver hanger and the sparkley star design too! As Sue said, genius!
Wow - some great stamping, Julie. Brilliant way to "hang" the ornament, the bow is beautiful, and I love the star treatment. I didn't even remember we had that star image and I want it! GREAT card. Hugz
Absolutely gorgeous, Julie. I really like the inlay look. So very elegant & festive!
Stunning embossing on your card and I love the clever swirl as an ornament hanger! That bow is perfection too!
