Dancing in the Rain
>> Monday, May 6, 2019
Happy Monday Everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I've been out of town for a couple of weeks, celebrating 4 family birthdays. I had a wonderful time visiting sunny and warm Georgia and Virginia. However, returning to Ohio brought much cooler and wet weather. I've been told by friends that it rained everyday while I was gone. Yikes! So my card today fits right in with the weather here!
To begin I stamped the raindrops and new lightening bolt image with versamark ink onto water color paper, heat embossed with clear EP and then sponged on some Distress Oxide inks for the sky. I used a white opaque marker to color in the lightening bolt. The Dancing in the Rain greeting was stamped onto white CS, die cut and layered on black CS. This was a quick and easy card to create.
Thanks for stopping by today!
blessings,
shelia

Oh I've yet to use my lightening. This looks great!
I love the background rain (it almost looks like sleet) It goes great with the white lightening and your sentiment is just right!
Sheila, this is sooo cool! Love the stormy sky (great way to do the lightening bolt) and the fun sentiment. Might have to dance inside with this rain but that works too. Great card. Hugz
A perfect stormy card Shelia! You also have me realizing that I wasted a lot of time coloring around the lightening - your white marker looks wonderful!
Your stormy sky looks amazing and embossing the lighting bolt was such a great idea! I like that sentiment with the detail around the edge too!
What a wonderful stormy sky, Shelia! Love the blues & purples & the zig zag cut around your greeting.
