Seasonable Birds and Other Flying Things

>> Wednesday, April 17, 2019

Since the weather can't make up its mind between Spring and Winter (snow even), I did a Winter and a Spring card using the same image and sentiment.  The sentiment is Thinking of You Tweetie and the image is the bird from the Bird Feeder image.

On my first card, I painted on some pink stripes and added in a bunch of flowers.  I tucked the bird in the flowers.

On the next card, I sponged around a branch die cut and then flecked on some Snow-Tex.  I added in a few birds.

It is almost time for some graduation hats to be flying around with the birds.  DRS has some great new graduation images that just came out.
I used the new Grad Hat Hooray! image for the background (the bg is an ink, spray, smash technique).  I also cut out a few extra hats for the sentiment and did a framed section as well.  The frame is from the new Wooden Frame Collection.  I coated this frame with several layers of gel medium to add depth and support.  The sentiment is Graduation is the Beginning Verse.

Hope you are seeing signs of Spring and enjoying your week.

Hugz,

Nancy

Amazing how different your first 2 cards are using the same 2 stamps Nancy! I think the bird hiding in the flowers is much happier and then ones still stuck in the snow ;)
Fun grad card - great idea using the single frame to highlight just a few of the flying grad caps!

How lovely are these, Nancy! I love the little bird on the first two..he looks a lot like our resident Carolina wrens. One has taken to hiding in a potted ivy on the front porch. We scare each other regularly when I go out there, lol. Your bg on the grad card is wonderful. Love the split up greeting.
