Green, Green, and More Green

>> Wednesday, February 27, 2019

With the coming of the green in just a few weeks, I thought I share two St. Patrick's Day cards.  Both cards use the new St. Patrick's Shamrock Scroll

For the first one, I stamped image 4 times so I could cut out 3 extra shamrocks to add to the bottom of the scroll.  I sponged around the image and colored up the shamrocks.  A touch of Stickles and some gold glitter make the shamrocks really sparkle.

On my second card, I did a sponged background, then I swiped some green with the edge of several different ink colors to look like grass.  I then splattered the ink with water.  Once dry, I stamped the image.  It needed something else so I added some Snail Toadstools and Ladybug Toadstool.  I cut one of the ladybugs and moved it to a Snail Toadstool.

Hope your week is going well!

Hugz,

Nancy

2 wonderful cards Nancy! I love both backgrounds - your sponging from green to yellow adds so much more than the plain green I would have done ;) and your grass on the 2nd card is fantastic!

Gorgeous cards, Nancy. You make such beautiful & fun backgrounds. The way you did the grass on the second one is awesome. Those little toad stools look so happy there! 😊

Love the gold glitter on your first card!
The second card is beautiful with the bg (Love that) and the green and blue toadstools to match!! Beautiful color combo! I also love the splash of color coming from your oh so cute bugs!
That bg would be wonderful as a bg for an underwater scene too!
