Falling Leaves!

>> Thursday, November 29, 2018

Good morning!
today I've used real leaves to stamp my images and used DRS stamps for the sentiments.
This first card is using Japanese Maple leaves and the
Psalm 100  stamp from DRS.
my background is a wash of watercolor.

My next card uses the Purple Robe Lotus leaves and the
Goodbye Summer Hello Fall stamp from DRS.

I did a watercolor wash on this background as well.

I just put pigment ink on the leaves then ran them through my die cutting machine with the watercolor paper to make the image.

Hope this gives you more ideas for making your own cards!
Thanks for visiting!

Wow, Robin. I love how you used real leaves to make these. They really show the beauty of nature. Your watercolor washes really set them off as well. Great sentiments too. Lovely, lovely cards. Hugz

I was going to say, "Wow, those leaves look so real", and that's because they are! How cool! The colors are beautiful and I love the sentiments and the way the matting compliments the images. Perfection :)

These are beautiful, Robin! I've used leaves to run thru the big shot but I don't think I've put ink on them. I will definitely try that. Too late this year..all the trees lost their leaves before Halloween. Love the watercolor bgs behind them, too.

2 beautiful cards Robin! Your maple leaves card is so pretty and I absolutely LOVE your purple robe lotus (not that I've ever heard of it :) Question for you...did you add the watercolor wash before or after the leaves???
