Ride 'Em, Cowboy!

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Wow! September already..how did that happen? I can hardly wait for cooler temps & fall colors. I'm not enjoying the ragweed, however. Better stock up on the allergy meds. For my card today, I thought I'd make a cowboy birthday card. Originally, the 3 squares were going to be in a line down one side. But in order to have this much of the images in the square, it made them too big to stack. So the Cowboy was moved to his own side & put on top instead of inside a cut out square.
With the layout having so much going on, I kept the color palette simple & stuck to 2 colors, since most guys don't want things too fussy, anyway. I added a piece of a barbed wire die cut (hey, guys don't really get ribbon, lol) & put the greeting under the cowboy.
Here's a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
Supplies:
stamps: DRS Designs - Cowboy Line Dancer, Western Word Square , 4 in 1 Cowboy Gear (inside: Saddle Up Greeting )
paper: X-Press It white, Staples 110# white, brown, blue
ink: Memento tuxedo black, rich cocoa, Versaclair nocturne & acorn
accessories: Misti, Copic markers, ODBD double stitched squares dies, Rubbernecker stitched rectangles dies, Gina Marie Designs barbed wire die

Julie, what a great sketch and some great colors! Everything is colored up and designed so well. You are so right on guys not getting ribbon and the barbed wire is a perfect addition. Fun card. Hugz
