Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Can you believe tomorrow is Sept. 1st? Where has this year gone? I think it's safe to say, it's not too early to start making some Christmas cards. It will be here before you know it! From the beginning, I knew I had to make a Christmas card using this cactus. But I wanted it to have some lights. Masking would have been a nightmare so I just stamped a few and fussy cut them. I knew I would fussy cut the cactus anyway so the lights were easy. The cactus was "planted" in a pot I fussy cut from another image.
After stamping the Barn Door twice & coloring it in, I added the ground and a die cut wreath. It wouldn't be a southwest card w/o a few chili peppers so I used a couple of punches to add some chili peppers to the wreath. The greeting is the result of combining two & it worked out pretty well.
Here's a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

OMGosh, the lights on the cactus and the wreath with the chilies...how much more Southwestern can you get for Christmas!! Amazing card Julie!
What a wonderful Christmas card Julie! Great idea turning the rope into lights (amazing cutting btw)!! The chili peppers and the pieced together greeting are what really set this card apart!!
I LOVE the lights you added to the cactus, and those chili peppers are an inspired idea! It's a beautiful card and your sentiment could not be any cuter!
What a fun Christmas card! I love your wreath with the chili peppers & lights.
